The product that they’re using actually has on the label that it should not be used near animals. I repeat that it should not be used near animals. I too, am a snake breeder, so I know that this practice is commonly used in the hobby but should not be used. There are other products that are safe alternatives.

Can you explain to me the point of having all these cool pet snakes when their entire life is living in a plastic box with no light, no substrate, nothing to stimulate them, etc. I am all for pet ownership but not like this man, not like this. You may feed them, clean them, etc but their overall quality of life is a 1/10.
@lonestarreptiles Жыл бұрын
Thanks for your comments, we handle our animals daily. There quality of life is better than most humans. They definitely have a better quality of life than they would in the wild. Please if you don't like what we are doing here then don't watch. Have a wonderful day

@@lonestarreptiles Listen I am asking for some clarity, I mean I hear what you're saying but there is nothing better then wild animals living in the wild where they can be themselves. Yes there are dangers everywhere but that is part of life no matter what species you are. So why is it you keep these snakes in plastic bins with no substrate when you could have them in a nice terrarium setup with sticks, rocks, plants, etc to hang out on? If I owned humans as pets would you also find this setup suitable for them?
@lonestarreptiles Жыл бұрын
@Common Cents obviously you weren't paying attention, there is substrate in the tubs. Do your research, these animals live in termite mounds in Africa. They eat about 3 times a year in the wild, they are covered in tick and other parasites. We keep them in bigger tubs then they would have in the wild. We feed them every week, and they are tick and parasite free. We clean the substrate twice a week so that they are never in a dirty tub. In the wild they live in filth. It's obvious that you have not seen other videos that show our monster enclosures that we house all of our lizards and monitors. Again if you don't like how we keep our animals which is above and beyond most. Please find another channel to watch. Texas Parks and Wildlife were just here yesterday and we got a perfect score on our facility. We were told that they wished everyone kept their animals as well as we do. Thank you for your comments.

You do realize the vapours from those No-Pest strips are toxic, right? To humans and animals. Putting it in a deli cup like that doesn't prevent the actual poison from getting into your animals and you. The packaging explicitly says for use in unoccupied areas. Even the spray you're using says on the container to rinse and dry before reintroducing any reptiles, not spray and add bedding.

Over 20 years using this product in our facility and no I'll effects. Most of the larger breeders use this product, none of them have seen any problems. I have also worked with a laboratory studying the effects on our animals. We use it in small doses and it has not shown any harmful effects. The spray that we use is lab tested and it is all natural and organic created by nature chemistry. We still dilute it 1 to 1 with water to insure there is no harm to our animals. Feel free to look them up. Hundreds of thousands of breeders have been using this product for years with no harmful effects. Thank you so much for your concern. Have a wonderful day.
