MATES IN CONSTRUCTION QLD & NT

MATES IN CONSTRUCTION QLD & NT

MATES in Construction is a community development organisation aimed at reducing suicide and improving mental health and wellbeing within the Australian Construction industry.
Established in Queensland in 2008, MATES in Construction is a federation of independent industry based MATES in Construction organisation in Queensland, New South Wales, South Australia and Western Australia.
MATES in Construction was established to implement the recommendations of a major report on suicide [the AISRAP Report] within the Queensland Commercial Building and Construction Industry which found that suicide rates in the industry was higher than the Australian average for men, and that youth suicide within the industry could be as much as 2.38 times common than amongst other young Australian men.
MATES in Construction is all about MATES helping MATES -- MATES in Construction is an industry led approach to an industry problem.

Oh what a coincidence that Jacinda Adern will not acknowledge New Zealand suicides & therefore does not acknowledge global suicides!!!!

I survived my suicidal attempt 18 years ago. I am so grateful that I didn’t die even though I became paralyzed. By God’s Grace, my mental health is excellent now. If you are depressed, I hope you will not give up, it’s a treatable medical condition. If I can recover, anyone is able to potentially. Here's a message just for today. WE still need you. Yes, it's about coronavirus. That does not mean not fighting suicide. They go together. What does it add up to not to obey the CDC? How do we know that no coronavirus death numbers contain suicide numbers? Call Dr. Vuong, call Dr. Phil, call Dr. Oz. Please.

I really agree with your technique.I have been having problems getting a job.I get my parents telling me it's mostly my fault. My reaction is saying erational things. But I have enough pride in myself to fight it off and I keep moving forward.

God how lucky he was to not only live but also be able to walk and not be wheelchair bound. I'm glad too, he seems like a good guy and he has helped me better understand how to master my mental health with good sleep hygiene, a clean diet, a solid exercise routine and avoiding substance abuse, especially alcohol which is a horrible depressant and awful for your mental well being.
