  Chevy needs to spend less time crafting the Jets public image through his media lapdog (hello Darren Dreger) and more time building a team identity that befits this community. What might that be? How about high character WHL players who know what it's all about to be from the prairies. For Pete's sakes, why the #@$! does Vegas own the Manitoba player market and not the Jets?! Please, don't tell me because Kelly McCrimmon is a genius. It's because Chevy has pooped the bed since 2011 by drafting US college boys. Jets, get a GM who understands what it means to be a prairie NHL franchise already.

  he has one year left on his contract so there will naturally be speculation on his future. he was at the top of some of the insiders trade boards (frank seravalli's).

  Have to agree with Renny, look how long it took Sheif to crack the lineup. I think Rutger is being impatient and should be traded if he dislikes the Jets development process. Good show guys!!❤

  I've been following Kevin He's rise in the sport for years. Winnipeg definitely traded up. He has the skills, drive and passion for the game to bring some wins for the team. Off the ice, his personality and background are the makings of a media star. This kid's hockey career is really going to be something.

  Sean...the Draft was coopnto watch with MAJOR exception: day 1 carried by Sports net media exclusively was phenomenal. Day 2 was terrible as it was hosted by a mox oc canadian and american media on "NHL" network via sports net channels. But the big issue is is that when they got to canadian teams they either quickly glossed over them or ignored the entire moment and the csmera focused on someone else with interview of another media person. Too much jabbering not enough time to take it all in. Many people had same compaint accross canada. One time they literally said "well anyways"...as of inconvenienced by a candian team, then carried on their conversation. That part very disappointing.

  As Jets fans we've gotten blinded by the existing line structures. For example, perhaps it's time to rethink the Lowry line and simply make him the official 2C, providing him with scoring wingers like Perfetti & Ehlers. That way the 3rd & 4th line can be comprised of existing vets and young players like Lambert & Chibrikov without expecting them to immediately perform as top 6 players.

  Excellent! This talk about adding players all the time. Restructure like you suggest makes total sense. Chevy, listen to your fans. Also, draft some Saskatchewan players , trade for them you might even increase it ticket sales. This suppose to be a draft and develop team. Seems aside from some obvious 1st rounders, it is draft and sit, all while we look for players from other teams.

  Can this guy get us some defence and bring a bit of youth to our team? Really think it's our management making bad decisions last couple of years. Stop bringing in these old guys for the playoffs. They dont do anything but slow us down. Maybe it's time for Chevy to say goodbye...

  San Diego, CA here. I got no dog in the NFL anymore since the stinking chargers moved up to SmelLA. In my youth (a long time ago) growing up in the suburbs of Chicagoland, I followed the CFL. Toronto Argonauts (and the Maple Leafs). Now starting today, the CFL is my league

  Elliot putting out that McG was to be traded before the draft, seeing Chevy hold his card was a power move. Elliott put the Jets in a position to move on an asset in a position of weakness. Glad Chevy held his card until the power is in hands.

  The kunlun khl team has former jets draft pick Yuen on it and alot of ex NHL/AHLers. Prior to that the AsianHockey league and Eastern teams/countries have been letting players fast track citizenship so can play national team NigelDawes/DustinBoyd represented Kazakhstan. And Matt Dalton represent SouthKorea I definitely think alot of fans wouldn't know if you search WJC not group A but Japan,Australia,Iceland,Spain,Isreal,Kazakhstan,UAE,Turkey,Mexico have U20 teams/National. And alot of CIS college players play 1-few year minor pro after before getting regular jobs. There was leagues in Australia,NewZealand,UAE,and SouthAfrica their seasons would take place opposite rest of world. It's Semi pro but at least get to play hockey and travel. Other countries in EU from years of having Canadian or players from other countries grow hockey France you see alot of QMJHL players go slowly are catching up to rest of top teams. Some EU leagues get top AHL players who either get more money in NLA,SHL,Ebel,DEL ect It would be interesting to me to ask ex Jets interview Slater,Mason,O'Dell,Enstrom,Stuart im pretty sure played DEL before joining Oilers staff. I was watching years ago the Champions Hockey League was surprised see names as well as i liked watching Olympics when NHL players didnt go Kovalchuk and Russia beat Germany for Gold. Spangler Cup players still playing.

  @@RocketSlime No takers. They tried to trade him. But I guaranty that when he is available, teams will make a run at him when he hits the market after his time is done in Michigan. Jets handled this situation poorly.

  @@areacode911 the thing is he wanted to jump from college to NHL having a clear road to it without going to the AHL but the jets want him to go to the ahl to hone his skills a bit more for like a year and it's causing dissonance

  @@RocketSlime yes I am quite aware of that. I think it’s a testament of the Jets slow development that affects players. Give Ruther a couple of games to see how he does. I see Rutger’s point his teammates jumped right on to their nhl teams and played right away.

  @@areacode911 the issue is those teammates are jumping to dog shit teams and they are basically nobodies I think what's happening is a case of bad Fomo where he sees his friends "Progressing" but they aren't really progressing cuz the truth is most of them aren't gonna be that needle mover the way Mcgoawrdy is (Which he ABSOLUTELY is imo)
