Yes, even old, cast iron gasoline engines can benefit from H2O Inj. Case in point: '95 DeVille w/4 9L V8 FWD. That pig requires Premium fuel to stop LSPI (Low Speed Pre-Ignition) right now. Customer hates that high fuel cost. First, I'm cleaning out the cooling sys (muddy, chunky deposits found during water pump change). Then, will change oil to SP spec. oil (a low LSPI reactive additive), a tuneup & check distributor for stuck advance weights, function, etc. Finally we will explore H2O Inj. to use that cheaper 87 octane for that No knock guarantee!

The worst things ever put on a diesel pickup truck are the EGR and def systems. Unless you enjoy engine failure and paying thousands in repairs..their has to be a better way to save the environment.. From recent experience ..... Low oil pressure light... Is your oil black on the dipstick days after oil change. Oil pan plug full of black shit.... Check your oil filter for crud, cut it open and examine it...a black soot type of shit in the filter? Yup.. Flush your complete oil system, DROP your oil pan , clean it and the clogged pickup tube that's starving your engine from oil... it may save you from a shady mechanic saying your engine is junk when it's not and a real engine failure

Ran Amsoil in my Ecodiesel deleted and sold it at 100K cuz I needed a bigger truck to tow my camper(it wasn't a power issue, it was size). Each Time the oil analysis came back flawless at 15K mile intervals using just their entry level 5w40 Turbo truck diesel oil with 35" tires and towing regularly. When I had dealer covered free oil changes using T6, i had significant viscosity loss around 6-7K mile mark and the truck indicated 30-40% oil life remaining, obviously I had it changed due to the bad used oil analysis reports. After seeing those, I stopped getting the free oil and opted to go to amsoil and never looked back. Still use it in all my power equipment and my Larger 2500 Cummins today. Same thing, Used oil analysis comes back mint at 12-15 that ive tested so far. Ive opted to change it at that interval as I feel ive gotten a good use out of the oil at that point anyway. At 200K I had to pop the valve covers and do a valve lash on my 6.7 cummins and it was so clean it looked factory new. I was shocked. I expected it to have at least some varnish or something. it was spotless. These Ecodiesels definitely had a bad batch of bearings or some other defect like crank wobble, but running a great oil certainly doesn't hurt.

Bought the REVMAX kit and after looking at the Transmission, the cooler is blocked by front driveshaft and exhaust pipe. I believe I will be able to install the thermostat bypass by with the cooler installed in transmission. Removing the transmission shift cable, the thermostat is accessible, tight, but accessible. Only need to remove inner c-clip to pull plug and thermostat. Then transfer O ring to new plug and reinstall.
