Upon seeing god he will say “Ok, now I see you, the evidence is clear, so now I will believe”. God, we are led to believe is merciful and will forgive non-belief for his mere 80 odd years, for an eternity of solid belief going forward…right! Fallacy after fallacy! Broken logic and he doesn’t even realize it! ( You can look up the fallacy terms online to see if I’m wrong) He supports his argument by avoiding and begging the question with a touch of strawman, then proceeds to support the rest of his argument with a genetic fallacy! It’s ironic that he says if you were brought up in another country, you’d believe in X, however he doesn’t apply it to himself. If someone is born in Seattle or Portland today, they will most likely be atheist because the majority of people are atheist/agnostic (and on the rise); therefore can I conclude that because that person is born into an atheist area and became an atheist, that they automatically become wrong? No, that’s the genetic fallacy. An argument from origins. Not to mention that he, himself, clearly stated that NO AMOUNT of EVIDENCE would convince him that God exists, even if the Bible wrote math equations ahead of its time, even if the stars were rearranged to spell out, “I’m God, believe in me!” in all languages, even if God spoke to Him audibly, and even if Jesus Christ Himself would descend with legions of angels, he still wouldn’t believe! That’s not me saying it, that’s him! Look it up! I thought us Christians were the ones basing our beliefs without evidence? It seems that atheists call the kettle black. By the way, Christians have evidence for what we believe, it’s just that atheists, like Richard Dawkins, come in with the assumption that no evidence is sufficient, therefore there’s no evidence, then sweep everything under the rug, mock people not in their group, and proclaim victory. If you’d like evidence for the resurrection of Jesus Christ, do your reading beyond just a few atheist KZreadrs who will just provide an echo-chamber of ideas, go to Apologetic Roadshow or someone like Mike Winger, they have some informative videos about this topic.

His entire argument would have collapsed if the asker had been a convert. Additionally, what about persons raised atheist? Does his line of thinking apply to them?

+ *OmnipotentPotato* Not really, because his argument iss based on generalities. He only referenced the asker's belief as hypothetically Christian for the flow of the answer, but what he's saying applies to all belief systems. He could be wrong, but he's saying that anyone else could equally be wrong. From that, I read that the punishment for non-belief threatened by Christianity is no more severe than a multitude of other religions, in which case everybody's non-beliefs put them at about equal risk.

The answer to what is your wrong is : the first thing to do would be believe in something and recognise that this world is beyond us. So look at all the religions with an open mind and rule them out. Hindu, bhudaism, even pagans, listen to testomies, understand what draws someone to that faith and religion. When you do that you will get a deeper understanding that there is something bigger in this world. The next thing to do is realise which one is the right and honest teaching, which one will get you to be a better person and not just selfish. Which one teaches about sacrificing yourself and committing selfless acts even though they are above you, why would you want to be a good person ?, why not ? (1)

Maybe all of them do, then the next thing to do will be to look at the abrahmic religions, because as much as the other religions are the truth, the one and honest truth which relates to historical facts, and highlights an unfailing God who clearly led us is through the abrahamic religonsn as they all call for the same God but each three have a different understanding of him, one rules that God is so loving to rule that his only son came and died for them through this people can only be saved through the belief in the son of God and listening to His voice, another one rules that God teaches you to be a good person and do deeds which will clear away your other sins and another one links to the Islamic teaching however does not have a clear ending of how the world would end

The Christian belief is led by strong faith and belief, it is led by the understanding that God brings his soul down to everyone and in that it allows them to follow his word and naturally be good people, the Islamic faith shows you the rules to follow and you understand that good deeds will allow God to see you more and the Jewish is the same so take all this in, pray about it and which one resonates, In the end if you are true in your hearts to believe and do good in the world, then who cares if you are wrong, the answer will reveal itself to you in due time, God be with you amen ❤
