I'm just beginning to explore Tournemire - and maybe acquire a few pieces for later adventures. For most people, I wouldn't expect to hear someone whistling these themes on the street but the free harmony alone grabs one's attention in contemplation. THAT'S the hypnotic, mystic quality of this piece, Thank You!

Splendid performance of a marvellous but obscure Tournemire work. Thanks for sharing this! I have had the score for almost thirty years but haven't gotten around to learning it. I just might now!

Thanks! I like Tournemire just for his obscurite)) But not always only for this. His harmonies are like another galaxy for me.

Quite interesting ! The instrument deserves interest as well; all that can be found about it is that it dates from 1927 and was built by an estonian master. It would be usefull to know more.

There are some pieces where the instrument itself is allowed to become the heart and soul of the piece. This I suggest is one of them.

I love this from the very beginning. It immediately brings back memories of being able to walk into largely empty cathedrals and hearing an organist rehearsing. Those light introductory tones always brighten my mood.

Thanks for this excellent performance in a building which seems to have the perfect degree of resonance. Your playing deserves to be much better known. Perhaps you should make more videos along the lines of your Bach 'Wedge' fugue one. Better still, see the videos of Gert van Hoef, without which no-one would know of his existence. (On another matter, I suspect the one miserable git who hit the 'dislike' button must have done so out of envy!)
