  Jazakallah u khair Watched this video till end and listened very carefully. Found it quite informative from islamic perspective . It off course will guide me to lead a superstition (Tawwahum) free life. But I have two points from this dars which need clarification .... •One is - when Prophetﷺ told Hazrat Asma to continue with the quranic verses which she already was reciting for her child - what was the result after that ? You did not elaborate. Did her child show some betterment or not ? •Two - regarding sun eclipse and moon eclipse سورج گرھن چاند گرہن I have heard during discussion on this topic with my medico friends that the children born with birth defects if their mothers had got exposure to either eclipse has scientifically been proved to be due to lot of radiation released on earth during moon and sun eclipse . It is much like getting radiation with bad health consequences for newborn child if a lady undergoes X ray or CT tests during pregnancy.

  Assalam u Alaikum Thanks for your nicest comments. Actually, it is not known what words did Sayidah Asmaa RA recite as Ruqyah and what effect they had. Prophet SAWS only wanted to ensure that the words do not contain Shirk. I am copying the Hadith for you at last. Secondly, it may be that certain doctors are of the opinion that the eclipse has a bad effect on pregnant ladies. The lecturer said he couldn't dispute if it was correct. He only wanted to make a point that nothing to that effect is mentioned in our text. Hadith "حَدَّثَنِي عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَاصِمٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، قَالَ وَأَخْبَرَنِي أَبُو الزُّبَيْرِ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، يَقُولُ رَخَّصَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم لآلِ حَزْمٍ فِي رُقْيَةِ الْحَيَّةِ وَقَالَ لأَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ عُمَيْسٍ ‏"‏ مَا لِي أَرَى أَجْسَامَ بَنِي أَخِي ضَارِعَةً تُصِيبُهُمُ الْحَاجَةُ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ لاَ وَلَكِنِ الْعَيْنُ تُسْرِعُ إِلَيْهِمْ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏"‏ ارْقِيهِمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏ قَالَتْ فَعَرَضْتُ عَلَيْهِ فَقَالَ ‏"‏ ارْقِيهِمْ ‏"‏ ‏.‏" Jabir b. 'Abdullah reported that Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) granted sanction to the family of Hazm for incantation (in mitigating the effect of the poison of) the snake, and, he said -to Asma' daughter of 'Umais: What is this that I see the children of my brother lean? Are they not fed properly? She said: No, but they fall under the influence of an evil eve. He said: Use incantation. She recited (the words of incantation before him), whereupon he (by approving them) said: Yes, use this incantation for them. Sahih Sahih Muslim, 2198 In-Book Reference: Book 39, Hadith 80
