ZB1 can sing, Taerae and Zhang Hao are their main vocals and they are great vocalists, the issue is the "no fixed positions" with them. Their latest come back that they were criticized for, has their least vocally capable members with the most lines. So of course their encores will be shaky. I miss fixed positions, tbh

People who complain about illit or zb1 vocal are people that are mad that idols are not well like. It’s not really our problem that nobody like idol you stan. There are so many idol group now day so people just gonna have choose who they like not what people think they should like. ZB1 is doing fine. If you don’t like them leave them alone. ZB1 encore was perfect, They were singing live with no in-ear and the emotion because they just won. Everyone in that group has a beautiful and powerful voice. But the hate is forced. People will always have something bad to say about them, now I don't even care about their opinion. ZB1 will never be the bad singers they want them to be.

The hate toward zb1 is forced the encore wasn’t even that bad they lacked a little bit cause they couldn’t hear their voices and the next day they gave an amazing encore, also it’s zb1 proved it countless times that they are good singers and singing live is not hard for them

I definitely agree with a lot of the video points, the way most fans only look for visuals when stanning idols and companies have been debuting less and less vocal-centered groups. when zb1 encore went viral, the amount of hate the boys got over one performance that wasnt even bad was insane, while 4/9 of the members have support and ability that makes them considered lead vocals while 3/9 are main vocal material and are some of the best vocalists in 4th/5th gen (as u mentioned taerae is one of them). so the way certain groups fans jumped to hate on them over that performance when it was at worst average says a lot about how the kpop fandoms work only talked abt zb1 in my comment cause its the group i know most about from those getting hate most recently.

6:26 im sorry but you are completely wrong here .For illit the majority of the line up was hand picked by the judges.Only two of them were voted by the public but not the international fans as our votes didn’t count much only 30%,whereas koreans votes were 70% .The ones with the good vocal skills were eliminated by the judges and general korean public.Moka for example was in neither’s top 6.For zb1 idk about them nor who they are

zb1 was formed from an mnet survival show called boys planet where the top 9 were chosen out of 100, many ppl say it was rigged (like most mnet shows) The group was marketed as a "global group" like ke1per while only having 3 international members (being zhanghao, Ricky and Mathew with the first two being Chinese and the mathew being Canadian if I'm not wrong) however the show did produce the first non Korean winner who was zhanghao from China. you made really good points here! i agree that these days artists are more focused on the dancing and visuals rather than the vocals. it's among the reasons why these popular 5th gen groups aren't really catching my attention, but the underrated ones are because they have what i'm looking for more often than the popular ones.

To be honest I didn't understand the criticism about ZB1 encore when it wasn't that bad, it wasn't perfect but it was clear for me that people only use it as an excuse to hate. Because the 2nd day they did so much better and it was crickets. Plus they have proved themselves countless of times that they can sing live without background especially Taerae and Zhang hao

As a singer and also a fan of them, I think the first encore was not the best for most of the members. But the second one was certainly better. But I also think it's because the song uses a lot of falsetto which is not their strong suit, especially when it was clear that they couldn't hear themselves well on the first encore. But I saw that they had in-ears on the second encore, so that helped them sing the notes much more easily. We know they are capable singers cause they've sung live many times before without backing track. I just think it was a combination of this being a song that's hard for them to sing and then not being able to hear themselves on that first encore. Idols can have a bad performance once in a while. The problem lies if the group is consistently bad. But that's not the case with ZB1. They have more good performances than bad ones.

Overall the performance was stable but people made it look like the whole performance was awful like the one of le sserafim, when I've seen worse encores where everybody sounded bad and off pitch the whole time

@@DailyChris2 I agree with the others being stronger singers but they aren't bad at all. Jiwoong has an ost and he has a unique low voice that adds a very good dynamic to the group. Ricky often sings during lives and sounds pretty good. Yujin is one of the strongest dancers in the group so they're not just visuals. I think zb1 as a group has one of the best vocal lines in 4th/5th gen where 8/9 members have vocal support which is pretty rare nowadays

@@user-qk4gh6in9m Yes, but they left candidates with better skills and they stayed because they had "more visuals." Because I'm sorry but his singing skills are nowhere near those of Keita and Jay. Keita is a great rapper but also a good dancer and singer. And Jay has already shown in "build up" that he is one of the best young singers in Korea. Unfortunately they didn't have what Korea wanted, Keita apparently because he is short and Jay because he is biracial, a shame. It is true that Yujin is a good dancer, but there were better dancers in the show, let's be honest, his main reason for being in the group is that he is considered visual, it is a fact. If you look at Kpop profiles there are 5 visuals, of these only Hao and Hanbin are good singers. There is nothing wrong with them, it's just that if those members don't perform well in encore, you have to be honest and think that it wasn't their singing skills that made them in the group.
