Petrucciani me impresiona por ser un pianista fuera de serie, por sus limitaciones personales y por haber briilado tanto en su corta vida. No deja de impresionarme el hecho de que nació años después de que yo mismo lo hice, y hoy ya hace años que falleció. Didier Lockwood es un gran violinista que se sale de la senda del violín más tradicional en Francia, utilizando su instrumento en la improvisación, como si de cualquier otro instrumento electrónico se tratara

Ce petit bout de langue qui dépasse est si révélateur de l'immersion totale dans la partition, signe d'une très grande concentration. On voit l'enfant qu'il a toujours été, c'est tellement touchant.

Fantastic stuff! Michel, in his solo, seems to give brief nods to the 1961 Miles Davis recording… there are reminiscences of Wynton Kelly’s solo, and even of Trane’s solo, but then he continues to take us further on a journey to discover more dazzling beauty! Didier’s solo is also great, and their banter is much fun to watch and listen to. Does anyone know the date of the performance?

Started off a little tame, Then Michel started getting down and jazzy with it. Really doing his thing, dig? In response Didier got jazzy and freaky with that fiddle. And then they both got down to it and battled musically like some anime from heaven. Absolutely beautiful.
