Thanks for sharing this! 💯 ❣️
@18summers Thanks in large part to this very informative video, we decided to buy an 8.1 Suburban with the 4:10 gears. It’s a California truck and is presently enroute to my home in Texas. I spent so much time considering excursions but, as you mentioned, the extra margin of 1000 or 2000 pounds (6.0 or v10 vs 7.3) brings comfort as we plan to rent for now, but eventually buy a 37 foot quad bunk travel trailer. Before purchasing the suburban, we towed using our ‘15 Navigator, which has a 9000 pound tow rating, but when renting 30 and 33’ bunkhouse travel trailers. Using the owners’ distribution/sway set up, not tailored to our truck, was lacking. Realistically 7500 pounds trailer weight was at the limit. This new rig should really do the trick! Thanks again for sharing and in the end, pointing us in the direction we’ve taken. I’ll reach out after our first long tow experience to share how my notes compare. Take care for now and keep up the great work!
Congratulations on the purchase. We have now been of the road for a year (video coming soon) But still have the 8.1 and drive it a lot. Looking forward to hearing about your experiences.
Just think if the Nazis would of had there way all the gypsies would’ve been dead, and there won’t be no horses like this !
Beautiful truck
Should have seen more horses in this video in my opinion.
I remember the original website with Cushti Bok coming through a beautiful frame. In my English class at The Masters College, I wrote a paper on Cushti Bok.❤
I want to cry out to God and have asked Him to help me get one of these beautiful horses. I'm old now and there just seems no hope. What does one do with such a strong desire to love. I had many horses in my life time, but never knew of this breed. Before God takes me...just let me hug one.
Is there an age limit for what you consider "children"?
I really wish Americans didn't rename them. They are the Irish cob.
The gypsy vanner cob is a great companion for any human.. quiet docile and loves human companionship
WOW! Thanks for the advice - I have the same Suburban and am now looking for a trailer, your words of wisdom sure will help with that search, and I plan to do the same as you did with replacing the interior pieces to suit my needs. Bon Voyage!
These are beautiful horses ,what do you use to keep their manes so shiny and long.keep up your good work.
Thank you bringing this beautiful horse to America. Wonderful job and Educacional. Beautiful Farm Good Bless You
Sorry to tell you but that is not colonial beach
Correct, as the title says, we were on our way to Colonial Beach. The audio at the beginning was a bit choppy since we were live streaming.
This family is awesome!!!!
Can we come for a tour? So incredible!!!
Love hourse
Bhai india mai gypsy horse hota hai
Thank you so much for this video. I do wonder if you check comments because I would like to ask a couple of questions about older suburban 2500 vs NV 3500. We are not ones to get into a car loan for more than 10k, we do not like to bet on the future. We do not own an RV yet, but we plan to. I know many say to buy the RV then the car, but we need to go ahead and buy a car as we are a one car family.
Hello Christina, we do respond when we can. I (Hal) am available to answer questions to the best of my knowledge. You can email me at [email protected] with any questions you have.
Good video and advice. Just bought same truck. Has 215,000 miles, but pulls our 6,500lb Jayco great.
Thank you. The truck is great. Congrats on your new truck. Three years of it pulling us around the US and it still is all we need.
The Viking trail sounds like a beautiful concept, one that the world could do with taking right now. Especially here in the US, there’s a lot of adults that need to walk a trail like that.
I had a 2006 Chevrolet Suburban LT 4x4 8.1 liter 65000 miles on it . Never hauled anything was getting 8 miles to a gallon in the city and 17 on the freeway . I loved it but 250 dollars a month in gas limited use about 450 miles a month , I could not imagine what I would spend on gas if I hauled. I loved the vehicle though but my wife made me trade it in
Such a magical place. I would be so honored to visit this farm.
Love seeing g these beautiful creatures
Oh wow! this is a great program. love gypsy vanners and what you do for the children!
Really great info here! Appreciate the video. Looking into the same truck you have, so this was interesting and helpful. Cheers!

Thinking about going on the road with my elderly mother. I’m looking at a 7.4 suburban, which is what brought me to the video, not sure what all be pulling, but I’m mostly looking to go out on the weekends. Nothing too serious. But I found this video very helpful and I just want to thank you
My old neighbor moved to a house very close to this farm. One time me and my family went and visited the farm. I met this horse named Little Fred, what a cutie! I would run up and down the pasture with him and he had so much fun. Wish I could go see him again, he is a human in a horse body.
Go beg your parents when this virus is over to go visit the horse if that dose not work offer money or chores or good grades hope that works
Спасибо за видео
I couldn't believe what I was seeing when I first learned about that breed touring the farm. I was taking close-up pics and saw that some of them had mustaches, was the funniest thing. There beautiful animals
Beautiful Gypsy Horses. ❤Love the culture of Gypsies ❤
sherry bowe I was raised with Gypsies not far from Appleby . Where the Police 👮♂️Station is now , the Gypsies/Travellers still live there with the Full Gospel Church Light and Life . The Vardahs with horses 🐴 would be there . Many would winter ❄️ in the cheap terraced houses in Darlington, and in June it would start with Appleby Fair , then The Hoppings at Newcastle upon Tyne , they looked forward to meeting up at the Fairs and Missions Countrywide . In October it would be Yarm Fair along the High Street Of Yarm Nth Yorkshire . Mr and Mrs Lamb would take their caravan every year to be friends with the Gypsies/Travellers and take Tracts with the Gospel . The Vardahs and Vanners still hold pride of place over the Trailers/Caravans at Appleby Fair .

What are your thoughts on replacing the leaf springs because of age? My 2002 2500/8.1 has worn bushings in the springs and we’re looking to go to a bigger trailer - like yours. My springs looks fine, but I’m worried a heavier trailer will make towing not so fun with the bushings being so old and worn.
Any problems with sway with this setup?
We haven't had any issues with sway. I attribute that to the BlueOx Sway Pro we purchased. It has been great. Our previous trailer was 31 ft and was real squirrelly sometimes. This one has been great.
18 Summers - Thanks! What hitch were you using with your previous trailer?
Thank you for your efforts in bringing this horse to America. Wonderful! I also appreciate your efforts in helping deepen feelings of understanding and human kindness. A true legacy.
Great video! I just recently purchased a ‘05 Chevy Silverado 2500hd Duramax and planning on purchasing a Puma 31bhss. Even before I bought my Duramax, I tried hard to find a 2500 Suburban, but it was just tough to find a decent one where I live, in the rust belt of Illinois 😂😅 but I did have a ‘04 Chevy Suburban Z71 and it was great! Hated to get arid of it but wanted something bigger to start camping sometime this year or next year! Enjoyed the video, cheers! 🍻
Thank you! It wasn't easy to find our 8.1 either. I am glad we did though. There is a FB group for the 2500 suburbans. I see quite a few on there for sale, but it is hard to find them in a good solid clean condition.
I love your idea of naming the donkeys virtues, you are right, that word will be instilled every time that picture is viewed. The gypsy culture got a bad name from days of old in my opinion. I love the Tarot and a great reader to me is one that tells me like it is. Does not sugar coat what they see just for the sake of making me feel good. I don't like nasty surprises dumped in my lap. If I knew in advance of it coming, I am in a better mind frame to deal with it! So if the reader was just doing what they were paid for, giving the honest truth of what they believed they saw in the cards, in the mindset of old, they caused it when the bad thing happened. What rubbish! The Universe is in constant flux, so you always have a way or time to change things. Just turning left one day instead of going your usual right, changed the whole events of that day. Same with female healers of old, using a gift given them to heal, they were branded witches causing all the bad things the villages around them were having, completely ignoring all the times they healed them! There are a lot of people that have to have someone else to blame for their misfortunes instead of standing up and taking their own responsibility in the event! Get a good mindbender in a crowd to work the people into a frenzy, they will do the bidding and blaming of this mindbender even if it is against their nature to do so! Witches have be updated to a somewhat expectable status, it's about time we updated the Gypsy culture too, to learn from.
What does your RV weigh?
tantrum006 our GVWR on the trailer is 11,050. We have never had it that heavy. I would have to verify our last weigh in, But I believe we were right around 10,247 (I believe). That was heavier than we had been because we picked up some stuff while we were home in Arizona. We have removed a lot since then maybe 400lbs.
Less drone footage please...
MartinHCollection well, I can’t reduce it now. 🤷🏽♂️
MartinHCollection stop being rude,
@@brookedavidson7305 what is rude about it???
My mother and grandmother lived in Ocala. Such huge ranches. And you never see a horse. Aerial view proves that.
Horses are gorgeous! However, the philosophy is New Age Gobbledygook! Symbolism over substance.
