The older high tracks 4s were machanic friendly and long track and keeping the teeth on the sprocket out of rock and wear then if you change them you dint have to break the track apart move it foward to the bolts and pull the teeth off the sprocket pull foward repeat the process with out track breaking or if by yourself in the feild. Packed with mud and roots the high track allows for it to fall out more than pack and keep the drive up out of 4 foot of mud and the teeth up out of rock getting in the sprocket and chain the smooth idle wheels don't catch or chew rock or roots the bottom idle wheels are a smoother so it don't pull the root in the track like the teeth on the sprocket. If the teeth are chewing rocks means more wear on the sprocket and teeth track slip put it in 1st low but this does is take the operator out and then if you got to use your eye site and brain a bit. The final drive or sprocket drive gets hot and mud acts like a insulation to keep the heat and not allow air flow to cool down all good machines just what you know and dint or if you've worked on them or not. Just tractor talk

Think about othe series 1 and 2 backhoes started from old scarp and a international Komatsu colors the white blue dirty yellow good old tractors the double hydros of a ck or e and the cat b an international tractor with some new loader one hydro in the center with a bit bigger hydro but dont split the hydro fluids in half to double cylinders the single hydro puting all the fluids in one area for the pump to give more curl like on the back curl of the bucket but the series 1 and 2 a components machine but used what was available i guess but like anything a good product gets in engineering hads the deere picked up the cats C D models nothing bad being said just some people thst msy have a ged got pushed out for the grad i guess but the ged guy probably ran a few and worked on them the 4x4 turbo B was good just hot in the cab didn't open up that well but good with power and the hoses outside the boom for easy access to fix or change guy i knew ran a 755 for a guy i knew when i was little but cool machines and old guys man no not saying nothing bad towards cat but jd is allright i like the excavators but im no good on them. I know some guys what you need a cab for when weathered dash and frozen trottel cables when ice builds in them the new electric over hydros weather's bad on the electric controls dirt blowing and when you run a old broom with out a cab you bring 2 loads of dirt home out of your nose man got find a place to dump them

@CAT Thank you for this Video on how to use quick attachments using cab controls. I'm self taught at operating Front-end Loaders. However, they were very old, and it took great effort to change a bucket. One loader I operated (small Case) had hooks wielded to the top of the bucket to attach forks to it. I know without a doubt that I could have figured out how to do it. With your video I am more prepared to take a working interview on a 950M Front-end Loader later this month.

they are designed to fail at 10000 hours from factory. constantly need re-gen, wire harness breaks in stupid places, the electronics controll te hydraulics and dont make for smooth operation as an operator, but worse of all these stupid curved front windscreens do nothing but throw shadows and light right in your line of vision so visibility is a nightmare especially working between sunny and shaded areas. and if thats not bad enough because you have to wear hi viz at all times nowadays it gets refected off the windscreen right in your field of vision. bring back flat windscreens for safety sake. these machines are rubbish, the old 938g i had before the m would dig the m into the ground, the m cant push at all, click the g down to first and it would push nearly anything it was asked, oh an who the hell drives a machine like hes trying to show you.........NO-ONE

Only have 6100 hours on my 930M and it’s had a few major issues. Currently Cat is struggling to figure out a High Manifold Rail Pressure issue. Machine won’t shift out of second gear and it will de-rate itself on startup to the point where it doesn’t even have enough power to get a 1/4 bucket of loose fluffy material. This 930M has been one issue after another for us since we got it. The 950M we got at the same time has been great. Have 11,000 hours on the 950M now.

@@catconstructiontrade Thank you. My question to the other person was rhetorical. I know Cat has owned Perkins for a long time. I was mainly getting at how long does Cat need to own Perkins to make it a "Cat engine"?
