  I wonder if he still thinks about me like I think about him. I met this guy in kindergarten, yes, kindergarten, and he was my crush. We became very close friends through all of elementary school, I liked him, and I’m pretty sure he liked me too. We were so close and we’d play on the playground together, and talked all the time. In fourth grade he started to play with the boys instead of me and my friends on the playground, which I understood. But we still talked a lot and nothing really changed. In 5th grade it was pretty much the same. But then the popular rich girl I was ‘friends’ with asked me who I liked, so I thought I could trust her, so I told her. And then a day later she starts dating him. And it made me so mad because he didn’t even want to date her, but she forced him so I couldn’t be with him. They never really actually ‘dated.’ But she always flirted with him just like she did with all the other boys. And I was going to tell him how I felt at the end of 5th grade, but I didn’t, and I regret it. So then in 6th grade we got really close again, we had reading class together so we always talked together. And I knew he liked me. 6th grade went on into 7th grade, and he chose to go do sports and athletics and I chose to not do that. So we had no classes together and stopped talking. Mainly because he changed. He talked to me once in the hallway and said ‘look I am taller than you now.’ (He always told me through elementary school that he would be taller than me someday.) but that moment spelt so special, because he remembered that from elementary school. But after that one moment he’s never spoke to me again. Later in 7th grade my friend told me he did use to like me, which made me happy but also sad because I knew that feeling was over. . He was my ONE crush. That crush never changed. He was the one I wanted. But I can never have him. ❤ I’ll edit this if I ever get closer with him, but I know that will never happen.

  A lot of people think of this song about a couple relationship, but to me it’s about my best friend. The best friend that didn’t think of me as a ‘best friend.’ The friend that moved out of the school and made other best friends. The ‘best friend’ that only talked to me when she was bored. The ‘best friend’ that left me on delivered and barely talked to me. The ‘best friend’ who sent the most driest texts. The ‘best friend’ who FaceTimed people she talked to everyday but couldn’t FaceTime the friend who hadn’t seen her in months, who had stayed up to listen to her problems, and who was a person that actually cared about her. But I still miss her. ❤
