For this I used the Phantom 4 Pro v2. With the mechanical shutter it's still probably the cheapest best option for photogrammetry if you can find batteries. Now I used a Mavic 3E

Great model! Do you think column flight plus circles gives better results than spiral flight plus circles? Have you tested it? I’m looking for the best solution for a tellco lattice tower

Thanks! I've gotten the best results with columns up the whole tower along with circles around the sectors and over the top and bottom. I haven't tried spirals but it would be worth a try. Lattice towers are trickier than monopoles for sure. I'm working with one now that I did 9 columns and I think it needed more. Also I'm having a hard time with the antennas and steel being washed out with white and grey- Metashape doesn't like that. I think more angles are better so adding a spiral could help with lattice tower. Or add more columns with some gimbal angle

I think I could get 9.7 maybe now.... my process has improved I need to make another better video. Angles I mentioned below- mostly shot at zero. I do nadir up top with gradual angles moving away from center, and then at each cell sector do 3 additional loops- above, center and below. Also I shoot pretty close. I keep sensors on beeping like crazy but it gives me distance readings the whole way. I think I keep about 10ft distance from the tower. More pictures are better than less in general but redundant pics are no good the robot likes different angles.

Do you fly the whole mission manually? Do you take just one photo in Nadir directly above, then start the rest of your angled shots? This is honestly the best 3D cell tower I’ve ever seen I’d give you more like a 9.9. Is Metashape the best software for processing? I currently have drone deploy but not really getting good results, might be my workflow though. I combine manuals with DD and POI in DJI with M3E.

The condos you featured in this video (sea dunes, etc) was where my husband's grandparents lived in the 80s. He said there used to be substantial dunes behind those complexes back then. They provided a much needed buffer between the beach and the properties. It has been eroding for decades.

Nice. It's tricky by Esther and anywhere north of 3rd ave because of the no-fly zone. Even with permission you can only fly at 50ft altitude thats tough!

@@ariseaerial You can get authorization to go higher if you fill out the request on drone zone. I have authorization to fly up to 100 feet in a zero grid area next to the airport. It is good to be farmiler with the prcesss. EVB has ridiculously low restrictions but they are very flexible if you make a reasonable request.

It was dry the several days ago, when I went over to the beach. You couldn't see the extent of the terrible damage, from the road. It's heart breaking. Sadly, when you live on the beach it has to be expected, in Florida. Look what Ian did to our west coast. We are a strong and resilient community. We will recover and be even better, than we were before. We even had a great vendors event going on, on Flagler Ave., over the weekend!

My beach in Jupiter Florida is almost all underwater rocks on the shoreline nowadays because of the climate crisis we're experiencing. Sometime in the future they will demolish abandoned structures and create a new setback line. It will also include a closing or redesign of the current road system. But I think it will be a long time before all of this happens. It depends if they can find enough money from government and investors to make it happen.

Did you notice at high tide there is no beach, and that's after taking away almost 150 feet of natural sand dunes in some areas. They say with Global warming the ocean levels will increase, I am not sure how much proof people need to understand this is happening now. Yes I know hurricanes have been around a long time.

Five-year winter renter at Errol by the Sea, beachfront. It sickens me to see the devastation along a wonderful, enjoyable area. Neighboring Sea Dunes took such a hit. Loved our daily walks along that beach, will miss it this year. God bless all.
