I already donate to Highways England - it's part of what's called taxation.

Everyone has to pay a tax to use public roads, often referred to as a road tax. Additionally, if you fail to concentrate while driving, you may incur extra charges as a form of penalty. Highways England is intentionally setting up traps to catch those who are not paying attention, in order to generate revenue.

My pet hate when i was driving class 1, was the idiot driving less than 56mph. Especially when i started to move out to overtake. Sure enough, off they'd go. I'd pull back in. Two miles later, same thing. Retired early. Too many idiots out there.

I've come to the conclusion ,there are simply too many Bloody cars on our roads and the situation is not going to improve , legislation is going to come into play ,painful I know ,but it has to be done ,and soon.
@adriversdiary4 ай бұрын
Absolutely agree with you! Introducing legislation to regulate the number of cars on our roads could indeed generate additional revenue, but the concern arises when there's no guarantee that these funds will be invested in improving public transport. Instead, we might find ourselves burdened with additional charges everywhere, from road usage fees to exorbitant parking costs. Without adequate and reliable public transport alternatives, this could place undue strain on the public. It's imperative that any legislative changes are accompanied by concrete plans to enhance public transportation options and alleviate the financial burden on commuters. Let's hope for a balanced approach that considers the needs of all stakeholders. Thanks for watching.
