  I understand your hesitation. I just came back after a year of dealing with life and frankly being burned out by the constant company changes, missing cash shop items, etc However of all the many games I have played since Archeage was my first real MMORPG and they set the bar so high in my opinion that nothing has held my interest and it's disappointing. That said, I suggest going back in with the intention to just have fun and dont feel like you must have a 20k gear score or be great at pvp unless of course you are (unlike myself lol) Just have fun and know it could be the last time so just enjoy it while you can. Who knows, maybe a miracle will happen and kakao will stop milking the cash cow to death and focus on making the game fun for the players🙄 Enjoy the graphics, ride your mounts (you can buy with mana storm crystals) PTSD of being gang raped and robbed of your packs and dignity by people with no honor. Take in all it's glorious toxic beauty while typing out your KOS list for that sweet moment of revenge.😂May your gear score increase and your enemies get carpal tunnel😝

  While playing the Enigmatist, I always try the combo of Overwhelm and Shadowsmite to stagger them and knock them down. However I was never able to knock anyone down to the ground. Is there something else to do, I think im missing something. Would love to be a mage and trip or knockdown someone. Any hints on how I can do that?

  frigid tracks + shadowsmite is a trip that is nearly unbreakable if timed properly, can be used from leech opener

  starting from @ 2:58 , when you're demonstrating the mage combo. you walk up to them, cast frigid tracks, and the opponent gets frigid stunned. what i dont get is how the frigid stun is actually landing/triggering. ive done the same thing. walked up to the opponent, cast frigid tracks, but my frigid STUN isnt triggering. the only time i get them is when they are moving/walk into the frigid path. but i cant seem to trigger the frigid stun from a "stationary" position. even when you do the @ 3:28 , leech shadowsmite combo. my frigid stun doesnt trigger so i cant get the knockdown from the shadowsmite. everytime i try and i do get as close as possible, cast frigid tracks, the frigid "path" just stays within my character, it doesnt spread to the opponent and trigger the frigid stun. my only conclusion/explanation is that is because i play firran and not harani. i havent actually tested between the two separate race, but my guess is that different races has different "radius boxes". i dont know.. either that or im somehow doing it wrong if some1 is able to do it as a firran.

  It’s possible on every race, I’d have to look at your play specifically to figure out what you are doing wrong, Possibly a lag issue if you are playing on really high ping.

  Attack speed affects the speed that instant cast abilities go off, possibly just low attack speed

  Plate on average is really throw in mageball meta, given that 2/3 of the targets you are focusing dont use physical damage, it seems pointless to me to stack physical defense, iirc the armor ratio splits is Plate 100/0 Leather 50/50 Cloth 80/20

  Not as familiar with the class so not as much gear progression but I can give some pointers, go leather over plate, it’s a lengthy discussion but trust me, sword/shield, shortspear isn’t the worst choice later on but this set isn’t meant to do damage rather keep you alive, I’ll get to that, SS/Shield / Sword/Shield / Katana/Shield are all fine. At any stage of the game, I recommend having a beefy long spear to swap to once you knock someone down, DW Knock ->> Weapon swap -->> fat 2h damage

  Katanas Weapon Trigger is a melee crit, scepters is a chance to reduce cast time for 7 seconds.

  You think it's possible to survive darkrunner ganks early on with a few changes to this build? Like using wave earrings, a shield and maybe something else, or is it kinda pointless as a cloth user?

  I don't generally have too many issues with Darkrunners, obviously if they open on you from stealth they are gonna kill, that is where they are strongest. Generally the only change I make is swapping to a shield for a block chance, however any half decent DR will just hit your back as you are knocked, still nice for the Stam and Phys Defense though. Early game this takes the form of any random arcane shield for the block chance, later in the server its a better shield for more defense and block gems. Wave earrings are also % based so not very good early game.

  2handed if you’re rich and already have duel wield weapon set. Otherwise duelwield for most situations will be better. The parries against melee and faster attack speed is too good over twohand, also dw is better in 1v1 IMO. Arguably, Two hand MAYBE for world/group pvp and ur duty is too snipe the healer or their main dps’er and drop some severe glizzy destruction in a short amount of time, aka burst damage and blink out quick.
