"The ideal of a constitutional republic is individual liberty. In this century, great strides have been made toward the goal of subverting our republic and transforming it into a democracy. The foremost tactic of the subverters is the subversion of “language” - by calling America a democracy, until people thoughtlessly accept the term and use the term. Totalitarians have obscured the real meanings and principles of the American government.”

The United States as a constitutional republic is derived from an interpretation of the Constitution's provisions and the principles it embodies. The term is often used to convey the idea that the United States operates under a system in which the powers of the government are limited by a constitution, and elected representatives are accountable to the people within the framework of that constitution. While there may be similarities between different forms of government, the United States is specifically structured as a constitutional republic, not a direct democracy. In a constitutional republic, the government's powers are limited by a constitution, and representatives are elected to make decisions on behalf of the people within the framework of that constitution. The distinction is important because, in a direct democracy, the citizens participate directly in decision-making, often through mechanisms like referendums. In contrast, in a constitutional republic, citizens elect representatives to make decisions on their behalf, and those representatives operate within the boundaries set by the constitution. The principles of limited government, the rule of law, and the protection of individual rights are central to the concept of a constitutional republic in the United States.

In America we have a voting republic. No form of the word democracy is found in our Constitution, Declaration, Anthem, or Pledge. The reason for that is: the Founding Fathers wanted to keep us far away from democracy. They knew that people in a democracy would soon vote themselves into socialism, thinking they'd get everything for free. Exactly what Democrats are promising. Socialism always ends in a poverty stricken communist dictatorship, as did the USSR and more recent examples Brazil and Venezuela.

I watched many videos and while watching your video I instantly paused it as soon as it started due to bad sound(very echoing and sharp may be due to bad microphone) but then I read the comment and thought of giving it a try(after reducing volume) and after some time (2-3 min) I forgot about the bad sound quality and sub par video quality, and now after reaching 5:42 I had to pause and comment to say you have real knowledge ,technical understanding and god tier teaching qualities but if you wanna grow on KZread you should be investing in good camera(iPhone 13/14 will also work) and microphone(at least 10-20k or better and room without echo/sound treated) and better lighting and at least 1440p video quality(to get VP9 codec for better quality after KZread compression)so that it looks modern and people click on the video (also better/catchy thumbnail) once they are in the video you have the talent to keep them.

I am from the Netherlands. We are a monarchy AND a democracy. Republic and democracy do NOT mean the same thing but are also NOT mutually exclusive. It also bothers that in videos like this, the explanataion of democracy in general typically zooms in on one narrowly defined form of democracy, direct democracy or pure democracy. That type of democracy exists nowhere, although Switzerland is fairly close to it. Representative democracy is the prevalent form of democracy yet these videos redefine that as 'republic'.

Nice statement.... Yes.... a representative democracy is equally bad. Constitutional Republic FTW. If you have honest people.... or quicker removals and punishments.

Republics also protect individual rights. Socrates, perhaps the greatest thinker of ancient Athens, was himself killed by a democracy. His rights to speak and think freely were not protected in the Athenian Democracy. Jesus Christ was also killed by a democracy. The Roman in charge, Pontius Pilate (who could find no fault in Jesus) gave the crowd an opportunity to vote for whom to choose, Jesus or a thief named Berabbus. The crowd chose Berabbus and Christ was crucified. We in America have the same problem, most teachers and public officials insist on calling us a democracy, though the term does not appear in any of our founding documents. In fact, our founders greatly feared Democracy, where a single powerful faction can sway the will of the people. Madison wrote about the dangers of democracy in Federalist number ten. Thank you for this, from the world's largest republic, India. I myself travelled to India and watched the Republic Day Parade in Delhi (or was it New Delhi, I get confused on this point). But for those Indians watching, it is not called "Democracy Day Parade." It is Republic Day. Thank you again.
