-You don't need a degree -I've just finished my major in electronics 🤡
Nothing wrong with posting a Mutex/Semaphore in an IRQ as a signaling mechanism. Good video otherwise
As someone wanting to transition from a rapid-prototype environment to a more formal environment.. perhaps not for FAA/FDA/DOE approval, but to develop high quality/safe products for any industry.. aerospace (Lockhead's SEAL Level X, Boeing , DDPMAS etc) , Medical, or Nuclear industries, would love to see a trivial example that goes shows all the steps and outputs. Having a documented process on how code is generated is one thing, but how do you prove safety? Static Analysis, Code Coverage (Statement (Level C), Decision (Level B), MCDC (Level A)) ? Who defines the unit tests? I imagine there are differences between FAA : DO-178X , DO 331 , ARP4754A , ED-12C FDA : 13485 , ISO14971 , IEC 62304 , SaMD and DOE : 414.1x, but what are the typical tools/software needed, and the typical document/artifacts in the various stages of the software life cycle? I saw a good video by CEMILAC Education Program "Airborne Software Development & Certification Process" and it's a bit overwhelming: Requirement Management - (IBM Ration) DOORS, JAMA, Xebrio, rmtoo florath , doorstop-dev / doorstop , reqview Static Source Code Analysis - Parasoft, PolySpace, CodeSonar, horusec , sonar cloud, veracode PREFast Dynamic Analysis / Modified Condition/Decision Coverage (MC/DC) - VectorCAST, RapiTest Configuration Management / Storage and Version Control System - Git, SourceSafe, Mercurial, MS TFS QA - Helix ALM V&V - VectorCAST, LDRA Testbed Test Automation - Mathworks Simulink DO Qualification Kit Continuous Integration / CD - Continuous Delivery/Deployment And what is the general attitude towards open source software (ex. FreeRTOS) and code-generation tools (ex. ST's Cube MX)? How do CPLD and FPGAs fit in to the picture.. since not exactly software, but they are programmable devices written in an programming language like VHDL , (system) verilog?
Ehhh still confused.

DUDE IS IT JOKE OR SOMETHING ELSE? I CAN'T UNDERSTAND THIS. SORRY. IN MY VIEW, YOU ONLY CLEANED YOUR FLAT NOT MORE.
please avoid music, video is good
Never, ever expect that employers will thank you.. do what you should do .. and that is it. No one is thankful for the extra work you do. It is just your body that will hate you at the end. and you hate your body also .. because you will not be able to enjoy your life anymore of pain .. all kind of pains.
Bro bro bro please tell me straight How to be a embedded software engineer
Amazing journey and good luck my fellow engineer.
Any advice for someone who comes mainly from web dev/js world trying to get into embedded?
Left my 1st job as industrial automation engineer to get to embedded software .snd currently iam .❤
For the hardware that you test how do you get it if you are working from home? Is it mailed to you or would you pick it up?
Maybe u wanna add graphic wording, so the audience's eyes will see a few important points.
Wow so calm and very good advice. Thank you so much.
I am from Algeria, which is a third-world country. Are there any chances to study and work in a foreign country?
did you finish your ee degree?🤔🤔
With AI's current state, I don't think it will be much longer before software engineering becomes significantly easier. This will inevitably either lower wages, or number of people actively employed. I do believe we will see software engineers suffer due to AI in the near future. Since embedded involves hardware, it will be more difficult for AI to have the same impact. It WILL impact embedded eventually, but it should be slower
Associate polytechnic diploma electronics misteriously can do embedded task but unathority to do.
Hi Greidi, thanks for sharing your story! Did you mention that you were in Nanjing? I'm living in Nanjing after around 5 years in the US. Greetings!
Im going into an MS in software engineering, should i do a post bacc in computer engineering instead? I did IT bachelor's and focused more on web development and software development. I dont have good electrical or mathematics background
i have applied for an intern in valeo but i never had a response, what should i do to get an internship in a big company and iam still a collage student can you give me an advice ??
man I believe this is best vid you made in your channel. as if you're talking to me like as an adviser. this vid can shed light on people's future and can even save my future from possible wrong path.... thank you very much.
According to what you say at, 8:11 my question is, how much electronics should I know ? Well im not an electronic engineer and am not much interested in it. I am only a computer science student and have no idea what physics and electronics are. Can I be an embedded system engineer who has skipped the electronic part ?
For an embedded software engineer, you might wanna know how a voltage divider works, how to limit current on a gpio, what does Pull-up/Pull-down resistors and overview of basic R, L, C if you are going to deal with ADC, signal processing(can get ugly if you probe too deep).
Greetings, I would like to ask your advice: I am a circuit engineer, PCB designer, 5 years experience, and I am generally interested in embedded development, but so far I have little understanding of embedded systems programming and would like to dive into this topic. It's important for me to transition to remote work once I reach a certain level of experience in this area, can you please advise me if this is possible in embedded development even if it would be completely necessary to transition into programming? Or maybe to achieve this goal it would be worth delving into a higher level topic in programming in IoT topics or something similar? Thanks in advance!

I graduated with my bs in IT and focused on web and software development, i planning to go into a SWEN MS, with a robotics software specilization however i feel like my math foundation is weak. catalog.uhcl.edu/preview_program.php?catoid=19&poid=4864 do you think this would be a good foundation or enough?
Im not sure, would you be able to reply anyway here is, my question. Im computer science graduate and working as software developer but I want to switch to embedded but I have no experience in this field. I have knowledge of topics that are common but how do I make sure to get an interview and prolly be able to get the job without experience?
Good video! I'll watch the rest!
Lord bless embedded C programmers....
You had me at having my own lab. Even though it can be expensive. Having a personal lab and actually using the cool tools sounds fun!
What laptop do you use?
Sitting at a desk all day working is miserable. This is how I feel, where is my purpose? I'm even moving for a new job, and more pay, and honestly I don't want to move anymore soon. At least I will be working in the office. I've been WFH for the past 4 years, and maybe its the problem.
Sir do you earn 100k a year? Plz reply. Thanks a lot.
Title - "Is **** worth it" ? conclusion - well it depends and it depends on you....
I'm watching this video on campus (not too far from Tilson's HQ in Maine) exploring career opportunities post grad school 😂Small world! Thanks for sharing your journey!
Greidi Ajalik. Simply Embedded. It has been a year. Please give a sign you are alive
I'm alive 😂
3:55 sprite is a technical word for 2d graphic or the thing that we simply called "picture/image"
"you don't need a degree.. I wish I had gone to school to learn this" 😂 Embedded and real time firmware systems really do need a high level of understanding including the instructions that architecture, hardware architecture, and how they interact with certain programming features that you won't get through informal or self-taught methods.
Dude, I am questioning if this job is for me, I open your vid and you mention Tartu, where I am RIGHT NOW wtfffff
I want to be like you
I'm a MCA(master of computer science) graduate. got a job as a design engineer (as a fresher) in a healthcare machine manufacturing company. Concerning thing is that it has a 5 year bond(they are saying they have 2 years of training itself). package is 4.5 lpa (INR) . I'm in a fix ,whether to take up the job or not . Need advice.
Is Arduino projects are Embedded systems too?
What is a ta? I speak spanish and is it like pasante
I started with C and then C++ by myself then i got admit in university did Bachelor degree in computer and I don't like web development so i confused what i like to do cuz there is more demand of web and nothing else in my country.
Dean Ambrose?
The most satisfying part of being an embedded software engineer for over 30 years? Seeing something I've worked on for sale in a shop, or even better watching somebody use it. You also get to play with great gadgets: I had a camera phone before they were available on the market because I was working on it and testing it at weekends! I could tell you what my latest gadgets are but that might get me fired/sued ;-) I sort-of agree with the remote working thing but the upside is you're a lot more likely to get to travel. I spent much of my 20s crossing the Atlantic just because I was the young guy who didn't have any home commitments and could jump on a plane with a few hours' notice. Downsides: yes, I get the "thinking about it at the weekend" thing. Even whilst asleep at night! Also you're constantly pushing boundaries with the hardware and trying to make the impossible... possible! Sometimes that doesn't work out which is a disappointment.
what about IOT developers? sir can you mention any of your social account like linkedin? i wish to talk with you about this industry. i'm in my last year of my graduation. i can get many information from highly experienced engineer like you sir. it will help me for my career.
wtf twice same stock clip. u lazy
Absolutely Yes!
Its not an illusion. Processes spend most of their time waiting for IO, so switching among tasks is a good idea.
