Bastian Gerner

Hello, I'm Bastian Gerner, known to many as The Foley Teacher. With 15 years of hands-on experience in the art of Foley and Sounddesign, working alongside industry giants such as Ubisoft and Warner Brothers, I’ve honed a unique skill set that’s at the intersection of art, technique, and technology. My mission is to enable you to record AAA quality sounds and proper Foley in your edit suite or home studio, even if is a non ideal room! I also prep audio students to be well equipped for their first job and offer individual coaching and Foley services.

The sort of "growly" sounds you start getting around 23 minutes in were great! Sounds like it could make for a good layer in some creature design.

Extremly cool video with unfairly low number of views! Move on Bastian, hungry sound designerd need more! If you need a topic for your future videos here's one - how to record foley in non-studio spaces? E.g. footsteps outdoors, different props in garage or basement. Maybe you could give some suggestions)

Microphones used: Sennheiser 416, Sanken CUX-100K, Shure SM7B and a Brüel and Kjaer Accelerometer (unknow what model, probably a piezo?). Bastian can you explain a little bit more about the accelerometer?
