    hello, i am looking at purchasing the Kef R3 (15-180 watts into 4 ohms) with the Arcam A25 (165 watts into 4 ohms). would that be a great pairing if not, which integrated amplifier (preferably class G, D or AB in that order) with a Sub out in the price range AUD 2700-4000 would you recommend?

    We do not carry the KEF R3 or the Arcam A25, so I would recommend consulting the manufacturers' documentation for compatibility and performance details. Additionally, reaching out to the manufacturers directly or visiting audio forums and reviews might provide more insights into whether this pairing would be ideal for your setup.

    What if total wattage of speakers is bigger than volume control wattage. Does it effect on original sound level of amplifier?

  • @ProAcoustics
    @ProAcoustics5 күн бұрын

    If the total wattage of the speakers exceeds the wattage rating of the volume control, it can cause damage to the volume control. The wattage load of the volume control is determined by adding up the selected wattage taps of the speakers connected to it. Make sure the combined wattage of the 70-volt speaker taps does not exceed the wattage rating of the volume control to avoid any issues.

    If the Samsung Gigasound 7000SH has a line-level output (not powered), you can connect it to the Harbinger VARI 4115. Here’s how you can do it: 1. Locate the Line-Level Output: Find the line-level output on your Samsung Gigasound 7000SH. This is typically labeled as "Line Out" or "Aux Out." 2. Connect to Input Channel: Use a suitable cable to connect this output to one of the input channels on your Harbinger VARI 4115. 3. Check Manuals: For specific details, please refer to the owner's manuals of both devices to ensure proper connections and settings. This setup should allow you to chain the audio from your Samsung system to your Harbinger speaker.

    In 70V systems, the size of the amplifier you need is determined by the total wattage of your speakers. I have watched a lot of your videos and called in recently but did not get my question answered. Do the dynamic mics need any type of pre amp to get the gain up. I have wired many 70 volt sound systems and input volumes are great but you have to max out volume to get microphones to provide a good output volume. What can I do to improve this the output on the microphones. By the way, not using this only for announcements. It is used for live audiences similar to a church setting. It would be great to see more video content about the microphone set ups on 70 volt systems. Thank you

  • @ProAcoustics
    @ProAcoustics5 күн бұрын

    Thank you for your comment and for watching our videos! Most 70-volt amplifiers do not require a separate preamp for dynamic microphones. However, it’s essential to ensure that the input on your mixer or amplifier is set to "mic level" rather than "line level," as this setting significantly impacts microphone sensitivity. If you’re still experiencing low output levels despite these settings, using an external preamp can help boost the microphone signal. I appreciate your suggestion for more content on microphone setups for 70-volt systems. We’ll certainly consider creating videos to cover this topic in more depth. Thank you for your support and feedback!

    Hi there! I'm sorry to hear you're having trouble with your microphone. Here are a few things you can check: 1. Signal Lights: Your receiver might have signal lights that show if the microphone is communicating with the receiver. Make sure these lights are on. 2. Gain Controls: Try turning up any gain controls on your receiver to ensure you're getting a signal. 3. Receiver Output: Check the output connection of your receiver. The cable might be shorted or disconnected. If possible, replace it with a new one to see if that helps. 4. Transmitter Mute: Double-check that the transmitter isn't on "mute." If these steps don't resolve the issue, I recommend contacting the manufacturer of your wireless microphone for further technical support. They should be able to assist you more thoroughly. Best of luck, and I hope you get it working soon!

    Hi there! The size of the speaker cable you need for a 1000-watt subwoofer speaker will depend on the length of speaker wire you need to run. Generally, 12 gauge wire should be adequate for runs up to 120 feet for 8-ohm speakers, and up to 60 feet for 4-ohm speakers. For longer runs, you might want to consider using 10 gauge wire. I have a question. Hopefully, you can provide an explanation. I am using the Debra 4 channel Wireless Microphone set. It includes the 4 headset bundle and the receiver hub. When we ampifly the volume to get more gain, there is a fairly loud white noise/static that is constant. It is for sure coming from the receiver, but we are not sure why. Could this be a channel frequency issue? Note: The 4 mics are not far from the receiver when in use. 15 feet tops.

  • @ProAcoustics
    @ProAcousticsАй бұрын

    Hi Gilbert, it could be a frequency issue, so if you have additional frequencies available, try switching to others. If the problem persists, it might be a gain issue causing the noise and/or distortion. If you're unable to resolve the issue, I recommend reaching out to the manufacturer for model-specific tech support. Best of luck!

    I ran into a sound system installation with a functionally similar setup like this but I don't think this is the right way to go. The solution here does restrict the sub to below the crossover point. However, the mains will try to reproduce all of the program material, including the lows the subwoofer is doing since the input signal to the amplifier is direct form the mixer and not going through a crossover (unless the amplifier has a built-in crossover). In most cases, the "tops" are not designed for reproducing the low frequencies, which the subwoofer can handle much more efficiently. I feel the more standard solution is for the main outputs (line level) of the mixer be connected to the inputs of the subwoofer (all the active subwoofers I have ran into have a stereo pair of inputs). Set the desired crossover frequency on the subwoofer's crossover and level of subwoofer volume. Then take a separate pair of XLR cables and connect the subwoofer's high bypass outs and connect these cables to the input of the power amp and connect the speaker cables from the amp to the non-powered main speakers. Now you have the line level output of the mixer split with the lows going to the subwoofer and the rest to the power amp hence the non-powered main speakers. One consideration is the sequence of powering on and off the system. I believe the proper power on sequence is mixer->subwoofer->power amp. The power off sequence would be the opposite. This is the solution I came up with when I ran into a setup which was functionally the same as the solution presented here. The system became much clearer after I changed it to what is described above. If I am totally missing the point here, please let me know!

    Finding a hidden short in a complex setup like yours can be challenging, especially with multiple speakers and soldered joints over a long distance. Here are some steps you can take: 1. Visual Inspection: Start by visually inspecting the wiring path for any obvious signs of damage or exposed wires. 2. Use a Multimeter: Test each soldered joint and section of wire with a multimeter to check for continuity and potential shorts. 3. Segment Testing: Divide the wiring into manageable segments and test each segment individually to isolate the location of the short. 4. Check Grounding: Ensure that all speakers and equipment are properly grounded to prevent electrical issues that could lead to shorts. 5. Professional Assistance: If you're unable to locate the short or if you find it to be a complex issue, consider consulting with a professional audio technician or an electrician who has experience in troubleshooting such setups. We have air con units in our office and when they switch off you really notice the silence. Its kind of uncomfortable. I like the gentle background noise like being on a train.

    what kind of speakers would you use in an outside/outdoor setting PA Bogen C100 amplifier for a pioneer club tractor pull event ?

  • @ProAcoustics
    @ProAcoustics3 ай бұрын

    For outdoor events, you will want speakers that can deliver clear and powerful sound across a wide area. A horn speaker like the Bogen SPT30A or a similar model would be a great choice to pair with your Bogen C100 amplifier. Consider the area size and expected crowd when selecting the number and placement of your speakers. Contact our Sales Engineers for additional guidance with choosing the best product for your needs by calling (888) 256-4112 or email [email protected].

    With CDI1000 if its in dsp off an i want to play music from a player whats the best setting mono or stero

  • @ProAcoustics
    @ProAcoustics4 ай бұрын

    Hey there! With the CDI1000 set to DSP Off, it defaults to a stereo output. Whether you choose stereo or bridge mono depends on the impedance and wattage ratings of your speakers. Make sure to match these settings for optimal performance. Happy listening!

    I stumbled across this video while searching for a solution for my issue. Maybe you can help me with it. I have an AKG Ultra High Frequency wireless mic set up. It works fine, but when I turn the microphone off at the microphone, there is all kinds of static and popping going through the speakers. Also, if I leave the microphone on for very long (over 2 minutes) the sound no longer transmit (we cannot hear it through the speakers). Once I turn the microphone off (at the mic) I get the static and popping noise again. I've changed batteries in the mic, so that's not the issue. Any idea as to what is causing this popping noise?
