The very concept of a guitar shop in Nashville is hardly unique. When you visit the legendary Music City, there's a lot of history and heritage to live up to. With some of the worlds finest songwriters, session players, and famous recording studios, it beckons visions of Guitar Mecca for players from around the world.
Living up to expectations, Artisan Guitars represents Maton Guitars, founded in 1946. We are the largest authorized dealer in North America. Our specialty is serving guitarists across the country who need exceptional sound reproduction in the studio and for live performance.
Maton's proprietary electronics create an authentic acoustic guitar sound, championed by Keith Urban, Tommy Emmanuel, Eric Johnson, & Colin Hay to mention a few. Melbourne Australia is home to Maton Guitars.

Beautiful twin guitars! Stunning sound!
How much is this one
This is the closest one in terms of sound I've seen to a J45. I was really disappointed tonally with the E6SS and the E10SS. This is way more what I'm looking for. Now, I just need to decide if a faded J45 is worth the extra $700 Great video!
From what I can hear, it will give a D18 a run for the money.
for me back & sides are indeed impotant ...
Oooo I think the Rosewood might be my favorite there. The low resonant tones are beautiful
Not sure about my cockles being warmed but that is a tone monster in ur hands..
Still ........ you talk to tooooooo much. I want to hear the guitar in standard tuning so I can hear the natural voice/sound the guitar presents. The way you played the E40D turned me away from Eastmam. Which is kinda funny because I own an E20D MR-TC.
Worst review ever. Guess how much I actually learned about this guitar from this 'review'? Nothing. In fact, the 'information' is quite misleading. Skinny neck? Nope. I own one of these as well as a 1960 reissue. This is not a skinny neck. It's a fatty. This guitar comes with speed knobs. Yours have been swapped. Where is the pick guard? And what about the pups? A modern version of PAFs. Which sound fantatsic, btw. And the weight? 10 lbs +/-. This guy should be fired. Total waste of oxygen.
Just got mine. And love it
Rough morning before shooting this vid?
Eastman rocks ❤.
Is the body really small?
Nice demo, three lovely guitars, but it's getting old, describing parlour size as being for travel or couch. People like these smaller boxes for their own reasons.
I love Collings Guitars. Wish I had been able to get to know Bill better. I need to go see Steve and tour the shop. I think they are in a new place from back when I last visited in ‘05 or so. Great video, btw! I need to play a T and a Waterloo. I might be able to afford a Waterloo these days! LOL!
I still do not understand why guitarists put mikes in front of amps when promoting sound of these amp. Why do you not play your amp with guitar swotched on direct so we hear how is the sound
Mick, can you simply run the stomp into a Marshall Amp - stand alone - no guitar into that amp?? Thanks, mate!
I love Mahogany. My avatar is me playing my 1937 Martin 0-17 back in 1980 I was 25 years old. I’m 70 years old now
The last one sounded good! I used stomp boxes for a couple of years but switched to a Beat Buddy because when standing, it was impossible for me to use two pedals for a kick/snare or kick/cymbal while also using my TC Helicon Play Acoustic harmonizer. If I didn't use the harmonizer and played while seated, I'd use that last set demonstrated!
Demo or sales pitch??????
Good lawd that thing sounds amazing.
I like the 65’ deluxe but with a celestion vintage 30 speaker. Gives a little more mids and balances the sound really nicely. Great video and playing, thank you kindly. 🎶🤘🏻🎸
Well after buying it I’m so in love with this guitar it’s hard to go a day and not play or practice on it I will buy another to keep tuned a whole step down love ARTISAN GUITARS
Sounds beautiful! Do you find it similar to the Tommy Emmanuel 808 model. In action, tone, ect?
ER90? Sure?
Io trovo che una chitarra così sia sprecata. Una 12 corde ha bisogno di corpo grande per rimbombare e squillare!
Io gli darei il nobel a tommy
Very good comparison, I wouldn’t turn any of them down
I heard Keith Urban playing one, how can such a small guitar sound that good?
Looks perfect. It’s pretty big. Any issues there for comfort?
"An exact recreation of a guitar that was supposedly purchased 50 years ago". You need to work on your story telling
Great sound! I want to buy one guitar like this!🎸
Well you know what to do! Follow that link and getcha one!
Matons are toys compared to Collings‘ instruments. This one included.
Pretty certain it’s pronounced “MAY-tone” as opposed to May’tn…
The Aussies say May’tn so…..
Please stop all fires in Australia you’re a great guitar player!!
Oh man thank you so much!
This one vs the om18 authentic that you’ve reviewed before which one wins ?
Fantastic guitar!
Oh yes it is!
Sounding so good...gotta love those Maton's
Yes you do!
Wow - that sounds fantastic! Obviously mostly because of the man strumming :-) But man that is so clean and articulate.
Been using my dingo today busking ❤️
i know this is a late comment, but that may have been one of the alpine spruce top models. if it were, thought, they should have put the little brochure stating that in the case...which i believe you would have mentioned. the lighter top makes me wonder. thanks for the good video.
Скажите Мартин d-18 будет лучше звучать этого Мaton EBW 70c?
No messing. Straight into playing.
Now you just need to find someone who can play them
What is that finger picking song he is playing. I'd love to learnt it
For this price you buy a Digital Roland with 12-15 sounds and signal out!!!
Binding does not matter - att all :-)
I own a Huss and Dalton OM-C and it is the best guitar I’ve ever owned and played. I call it a Martin in a Tuxedo because I believe they began with the basic Martin design and made so many improvements that it leaves Martin in the dust.
I love the contrasting colors. Surprised they added a pick guard. Hate to know the price
From Minsk to USK? I like it.
