I have pipe that is 2” for some and 1.5” for most. If I get the 3hp one is that too much? Or will I be ok?
If you have 1.5” pipe at all. Anything above a 1.5hp is useless because only so much water can be pulled/pushed

I have a ton of dirt and small debris in my pool .. when I use a regular vacuum it just pushes the sediment around . If I get the sand filter do you think this will help ?

How is the French drain is assembled
An inch an a half pipe is placed under the pool into 3 quarter inch stones usually 12-16 inches deep. The pipe is then run above the pool to a pump. In this case a Hayward super pump.
*also build an additional 4 inch riser yourself, outside your pool, that will allow you to actually attach the steps to your deck because the lazy way the designers failed to account for the fact that the lip of all above-ground pools will be higher than the deck itself.

Pay extra for the best local installer. No matter how great the manufacturer is, a bad pool installer can ruin it. If you need to wait for the best installer, then wait. It's not worth the headache of a bad install, and years of issues.

I have read that putting chlorine tabs in your skimmer damages equipment and pipes. Will this product cause that type of damage?
You no longer have to worry that undissolved tabs will fall out when you dump debris from the basket or pick through the debris to find loose tabs!

How to keep ladder from floating up
one suggestion could be to hold the step underwater at a slight angle until all the air bubbles stop. try tilting the step in the other direction until all the air bubbles stop.

Our vinyl kidney shaped pool was built in 1990. When the second liner needed replacing I filled in the 8.5' deep end with 4' of RCA and sand on top and removed the diving board. Before doing this everyone would stay in the shallow end. This also eliminated 7,000 gallons of water and made vacuuming easier. Smaller is better. Fiberglass sounds like an excellent material. Smaller is better, no need for a big pool.

What model are those pool steps?
These are a lot like the classic ABG step!
So I have a pump NBHT Model HBP110 II I bought about a year ago. I did not realize pumps can be 115/230v as this one is. It had a normal 115v plug which is what my power to pump is.. 115v. The pump stopped and was very hot after about a month of working fine. After it cools down it will run maybe a few hours. Well after trying to track down what the issue was I see there is a little cover on the end of the pump with a 2 way selector switch. My new pump was set to 230v. I thought ok here's the problem. When I switched back to 115v it will only run about 2 minutes until the GFI kicks out. I reset it comes right back on. Did I damage the pump running the pump switched to 230v supplying 115v? Everyone says they could see the opposite happening if i was running 230v to a 115v setting but that's not the case?

My pool has standing water from throughout the last year can I shock, it or should I drain and refill?
Depending on the amount of water in the pool you may want to drain and clean the pool first. If your pool is filled start running the filter and shock the pool. Make sure to test your water after the shock is allowed to filter for 24 hours.
That cover is not made like ours
Maytronics does make a universal cover as well. Could your cover possibly be the Universal one? They do have a few differences like where the velcro and buckles are.

I have a Sta-rite 333 that starts up no problem but will only heat to 95° despite setting the unit at 101°. I tried manually turning the temperature up to 104°, still wouldn’t go past 95°. I’m frustrated as I just bought a new $3,000 pump. I had the same repairman take a look and he said there was rodent damage and the entire heater needed to be replaced. I can’t help but think it must be fixable, it turns on and heats to a certain extent! Any advice would be greatly appreciated
Is your Control Panel on the heater showing the display and the temperature? Also, did the Repairman say what was damaged by the rodent? It could be a faulty computer board or the wiring could be chewed by the rodents.With more information I may be able to get some answers for you. How do those stairs stay watertight?
Hello! The Stairs are attached to the walls of the pool with the metal brackets. A water sealant is then used and the liner is installed. These combined processes help keep the stairs watertight!
How do you ensure proper back-filling during install?
Thank you for watching. Proper back filling is achieved using 3/8 washed stone and compaction. These pools can also be installed semi/above ground as long as they are supported by crushed stone. Most of the time in, in these cases, they are supported by some kind of exterior case/stone work.
