Hello I'm new to the craft world and I'm new to doing hitting paper clips when I do my hidden paper clips I make my back shorter so they can go over the page easier I find it so much better than fighting lol I think what you do is beautiful 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾

I would not. It will not hold up well. You could use tyvek.

Welcome Victoria. This is two signatures. I do a simple phamplet stitch an each signature first, and then hinge it with the lace binding to connect front and back cover. Then use the ribbon for the final binding. Let me go find some flip throughs I did on this type of binding it may help me explain this better. I will attach them in the next comment.

Julie, these are beautiful journals, just beautiful, and a very interesting binding technique. And there's no need to apologize for nature. . . with so much of the country in a drought, we should all be grateful for rain. And my dogs freak out with storms, also. Beautiful video.
