  What’s most impressive about the Daleks is after these many decades they manage to suspend our disbelief that they are the supreme threat to the universe, despite having a plunger for a hand and unable to go up stairs.

  They've always been able to go up stairs, and it was first shown on screen in 1989, and again in 2005. In 2006 the plunger was shown sucking a guy's face off.

  The military response is this, add speed bumps to all streets and the invasions comes to halt. Mop up the traffic jammed Daleks with A-10 gun and Harrier bomb runs, break for lunch or tea at 12:00 hours.

  I recently saw the original Dalek Invasion of Earth for the first time a month or two ago. I'd say this was very well done without having access to professional level everything. I think I like the fire extinguishers better than just inverting the colors.

  Epic, people in the '60s went mad for Daleks, but they, I think, failed to realize the Daleks were meant to B threatening. These Daleks are.
