I don't understand what was wrong with BMW. They made everything so complicated on this car. Nobody can make aftermarket parts because they're so specialized. I pulled out the dipstick myself and I'm familiar with those in Japanese cars and American... So I'm looking for like the crosshairs on a basic dipstick.. and then I seen this. I just don't understand the attempt to try so hard to be different where it makes everything so hard on parts. Even the windshield wipers I couldn't buy in a store I had to order off Amazon because of the specialty clip. I need to let my car rest and I need to go check that oil. Thanks for vid.

Hope you sold it. Those engines are terrible. Between carbon build up and chain guides being shredded and contaminating your entire engine, they are a non stop headache. Trust me. 😅

Thanks for discussing my 05 base "tweety"! This is a car with 115,000 miles, original engine and transmission. The engineering in the car saved my life, that to me will make it worth throwing parts at this great little car for a long time. It was the knuckle at the carrier bearing. Thanks for the advice and the inspiration. Keep up the great work!

This was great! The battery in my girlfriend's 2021 Countryman died. I had a 2009 coupe and replacing the battery was a whole lot simpler. I would have spent half the day figuring out how the battery in this one came out. If I ever meet you in person, the beer is on me.

Thanks for posting this video on how to reassemble the Min Cooper's Valvetronic assembly and springs from hell. Just like you, I had a lot of trouble getting the rat trap spring put on Intake Valve 1-A, but it finally slipped int place with some gentle but firm persuasion and a lot of French words. This is the best video on KZread on how to put these types of cylinder heads back together without any special factory or home-made tools to re-insert the rat trap springs into the roller rocker arms. By the way, I noticed that you did not keep the roller rocker arms in nay particular order and put them back into the head wherever it looked convenient. I was under the impression that all valve train components had to be reassembled back onto the particular valve that they originally came from during disassembly. Is that just an urban myth?

Good job for highlighting this, the only time Valeo is good is for near srock power or for those who tend to just commute rather than drive hard. The Valeo kit also cannot clamp as much torque as the srock which has been proven over 350Nm constant. The Excedy SMF kit looks the part althouth ive not been able to get my hands on one here in the UK. Might be worth a look for you guys over there

Because of white smoke in the tailpipe and engine bay turbo area, I replaced N14 oil filter housing gasket to block and oil cooler gasket. When I started my Mini for the first time, it still had white smoke in both around turbocharger position and exhaust tailpipe. Is it a blown head gasket? Why did your client not ask to replace timing-chain?😄
