Amazing little beast and fierce driver... but another of the video game generation who can't match revs on backshifts?? As an old school hillclimber, I wince when I see competition drivers just pushing the gear lever home with no attempt at double shuffling or heel-and-toe throttle blips under brakes. It's not just for show - it removes the clumsy pulse of engine braking so braking can be fluid and the car kept balanced and closer to the limit on corner entry. And it reduces synchro cone wear.

@@mattclarke2720 I built a 1380 mini back in the 80,s....biggest problem I had was getting the bitch to run cool and problems with jetting up twin 1 1/2 su,s despite David Vizzards book. But my god did that girl fly. Was very impressed by yours....I now run an R53....ok, not quite the same

Why can't many drivers manage to heel-toe on down shifts? It would be so much kinder on transmission & not breaking tyre grip with sudden retardation on down shifts whilst also braking. A kind suggestion, times will improve!

When you go out to the chicane in the second 0:44, I think you could put a lowering before exiting the curve, so you have more reaction in the car and you can exit the curve faster and achieve greater speed during the final stretch before the last curve. Sorry I'm from Argentina and my English is bad, I used google translator to write this message

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they even want to slow down all the gas pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime. "Bundesabgasbespaßungsverbot" in German.(&/%/&%&$%&$

Chinas boss Darth Xi told our EU politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow CO2 emitting traffic or combustion based industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... China just rules the world...:-(((

That's a sweet mini you have there,I passed my test in my grandmother's mini and I only had 5lessons before I passed.theres something magical about mini's and if a person has not driven one then they'll never understand what I mean.thanks for all your videos and hard work and keep them coming!😉👍

What engine size is in the car, are you running in the under 1400 ModProd? I used to compete at Gurston with a Mini many years ago with a typical 1380 & Weber set up, car weighing about 650kilos. Best time I managed was a 38.45. Absolutely loved it. This looks like a lovely clean & precise run.
