After reviewing the video it sounds like something happened with the volume while editing....... I wish there was a way to go back and update this but I can't do that without deleting the video. Thank you for the callout. Will make sure future videos don't have this problem.

How would I change the circle so that the cylinder is vertical instead of horizontal?
@matt.autocadbasics23 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment/question! Try going to the bottom right hand tool bar where you will find the Isometric Drafting button with an arrow next to it. Click on the arrow and then click the "isoplane Top" button and this should switch you to your desired view. You can also type ISODRAFT into the command bar then click/select "isoplane Top" when it appears in the command bar. Let me know if you have any other questions.

Can you show us how to design dock doors and levelers, please?
@matt.autocadbasics2 ай бұрын
Personally, I just use a block that I have saved. Since most dock levelers and doors are similar in spec a pre-drawn block is what is most commonly used. I am working on creating a space where I can place this file for anyone to be able to access when I finish the series. If you are still interested I can make a video that shows how I would draw one!

How did you get AUTOCAD to Inches? I can't seem to switch it over.
@matt.autocadbasics2 ай бұрын
In the lower right hand corner you should see a small rectangular control box that has a small ruler icon in it. When you hover your mouse over it, it should say "UNITS". You will have to go to the right of that small control box and click the drop down arrow. Once you click the arrow you should have 5 different options. I have mine set on "Engineering" which allows me to draw in inches/feet. Let me know if this works!

Why it's so hard to find answer on how to remove a drawing. All I find is remove block.
@matt.autocadbasics3 ай бұрын
Sorry that this is difficult to find. I can hopefully make a video that helps witht this problem but will need more information. When you say "remove a drawing" are you referring to and external reference (XREF)? or are you trying to do something else?

@matt.autocadbasics3 ай бұрын
Sorry this didn't work for you. It sounds like this is more common with AutoDesk Civil and that your system variables got switched around. I would recommend making sure your "QAFLAGS" or "AFLAGS" are set up properly. For example my AFLAGS is set to "16" but I also use the regular version of AutoCAD so it might be different within Civil. I would also recommend making sure your "PICKADD" is set up properly. If all else fails you can try resetting your system variables. Here is the link on AutoDesk for this exact problem and how they recommend fixing it. www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Pickfirst-not-working-in-Civil-3D-2018.html
