    Thanks Tristan! It appears you're not using the selfie camera when filming video of yourself, but instead you're turning the backside of the phone (and thus the main lens) towards yourself? I'd love even some details and insights as to how you film the videos on your phone (not just photography). Like how often do you take your phone out, how long is a typical clip you film, how you postprocess them etc? Thanks again!

    Might be a stupid question but how do you train outisde ? I'm used to train inside where I can be consistent but outside should I pick a climb, do the intervals then go down during rest if the climb isn't long enough ?

    Correct - climb for the intervals, then descend back down in between.

    Very nice. An idea for a video, if I may: show us how those look like. I used to run and trained mostly by myself. I learned so much just by training with others and looking at how the most experienced executed these workouts.

    You should have mentioned in the title that this video is recommending products for *wealthy* cyclists. If I could afford that light, I would just pay someone to ride decoy behind me.

    The point isn’t about the brand or the specific light; it’s about using a device to help you be seen. If your safety isn’t worth $150 though I’m not sure I can help you.

    @@tristantakevideo I didn't mean any harm. I understand the point and I agree. I must have overlooked the lesser version of that light, because I saw it with radar for several hundred dollars. Anyway, I do appreciate your video just the same.

    My setup for lights: Nitecore BR25 front light and MagicShine SeeMee300 tail light. Both of this lights shine Under the bike, too! The bike will be very visible and the front light wont blind incoming drivers at all! A yellow jacket, t-shirt or cap, if no helmet, its very visible, too.

    I ride with someone who loves this wheel set and I guess my question for you is how it compares to, say, the Zipp 303 Firecrest. You mentioned you had a usual pair of rims, which I assume are more expensive and (presumably?) work better. Can you make a recommendation/comparison for an ideal 40-50 mm deep wheel set for a lighter rider such as yourself? Also, thank you for this thoughtful review. I like seeing you relate how it feels to race with the components, which provides a context for where and when one might benefit.

    Thanks for video.I am 61 years old. I have been cycling intermittently for 4 years to stay healthy and lose weight. I train on flat 40-kilometer tracks at least 4 days a week. But I have a really serious problem. Unfortunately, I cannot go uphill. I have 2 bikes. One is a road bike and the other is a hybrid-touring bike. On the same route, the average speed of the road bike is 22 km/h, and the touring bike is 15-17 km/h. But in both cases, my legs hurt a lot on the hill and I have to rest. What would you recommend to increase my hill performance? I wish you good luck. video.

  • @tristantakevideo

    "That every Cyclist can follow..." Are you freaking kidding me?!? I got a job and responsibilities, I am happy if I get twice a week on my bike. Hint: people do have lives outside cycling, FYI. Sorry but making this sound achievable for normal people just triggers me every time. Anyway, funny thing is, my "short and hard" home round is close those key sessions. Developed it just by feel and being a former bike messenger. I love short and hard. 🤪😄

    I recently stopped mid ride to check my phone and a cyckist and her friend approached me asking if I could help them out about 30m ahead of me. Some Lime scooter dipshit had carelessly torn across a natrow brodge and collided with one of them, popping off her chain and twisting her seat and front handlebars. They both had pro-tier gear, clothing, and brand new 2023 Cervelos, yet neither of them knew how to put the chain back on the derailleur. They seemed super impressed that I "was able to fix it so fast" 😆 Lucky for me they just didnt realize how simple it was. I explained it to them but yeah, learn the basics and you wont have to wait for some schmuck to check his phone to help you when your chain pops off.

    Thanks for posing this! I just got back from Girona and my favorite day was Mare/Rocacorba combination. I'd love to see more videos discussing how to get in and out of town. The most difficult thing about Girona for me was finding a pleasant way to get to the climbs and the countryside. Lots of confusion, lots of busy highway, and even some routes that wanted me to take the 66, which was a real nightmare.

  • @svr5423
    @svr542315 күн бұрын

    - just put a generator on your bike and connect the lights. This way they will always work and you won't forget them. Always put them on. Motorcycles do this as well for a reason, not because it is mandatory. - unless your a competitive racer, don't do carbs. Regulate your power output so that you can comfortably burn through your body's natural reserves for hours. Much healthier and you only need to top off coolant (water) every now and then. - outside foot down in turns has also a much more important reason: if you keep on pedaling or have the inside foot down, you can easily scrape the tarmac with your pedal. If you're unfortunate to put enough weight on the pedal, you will unload the wheels and loose traction, possibly sliding into oncoming traffic.

  • @tristantakevideo
    @tristantakevideo17 күн бұрын

    No idea..that was actually the first blood test I've ever had done for testosterone, so it may naturally just be high, or it may have been a result of some days of training accumulation. As the doctor says, it was only a total testosterone score and not all the sub-parts, so it's hard to know why it came back with that score.
