Yeh that bait did look tasty would you eat it😂😂
I used to fish there when i was 12ish on my dads little boat called Tiki. I am now 70yo and live in Folkestone. I had a hand line and caught 5 fish every cast. My dad and uncle looked stupid with their nice boat rods lol. I remember a pub called Minnie Becks, next to boat berth, i used to get pop there.
Reward for all that hard work. Great video. 🐳👍
@@ChrisJackson-tv2rj cheers Chris 🙏
I hope that was the North East of England and not South West Scotland. It's hard going this year, probably the least fish around since i started on the lures but you should have had at least a few putting that time in, in Scotland. Don't think i've seen a single local out yet. The only places i am seeing netted this year are a two marks that you know and i have seen you fishing with Nathan, there are more fish west and east of them but you need to be on specific bits no matter what stretch you are on, it's not like a few years ago when you could pick up the odd one or two and usually a better one just by putting your head down and covering ground. Good effort and nice to see the cod.
Nice tope
Another great video love to get out and do some lure fishing
@@paullowther8729 cheers Paul much appreciated 🙏
Dongle rig looks good
Another nice video and a good catch on the rays
That is one tough old time you have been through David. Glad to see you are still smiling at the end of it, there`s not many anglers who would have carried on fishing after a fall like that as well as smashing some of your video equipment. Best of luck for your next lure session.
@@gordoncarass2360 cheers Gordon much appreciated mate. Aye tough gig but you’ve got to plough on 🤷♂️
wd dave from the wallsend posse.
Thanks for making a great effort, keep safe .
Great video again David. In the words of the late Roy Castle...dedications what ya need. Take it easy on those rocks. It's a stark reminder when you take a tumble. All the best.
@@northeastangling cheers much appreciated. Aye not ideal and definitely gives a reminder about being careful. Thanks for watching and tight lines 🙋♂️
Been a slow season this year. This time last year my tally was nearly into double figures, this year I’ve still yet to hit a fish. Hope you’re recovering after your fall mate. Watch what you’re doing

Great video Dave, no one can say you don't put the effort in, but you finally got a codling and bass, yes the weed is horrible stuff when your feet go and you go a clatter, but looks like no permanent damage, keep up the good work, tight lines.
Hey buddy,, I was out last winter for a session with a mate up and down a couple of cliffs and huge boulder fields on the second mark it was so black and dark I had walked past my mark but quickly realised and got my self up on it my mate was mibby 40 meters behind me and our head torches were starting to dim as we pushed to get on the unplanned second mark anyway as I stood up shouting and showing my mate the mark and what route to take as I watched him scrambling over he jumped from about 1 foot on to a innocent looking puddle and I see him disappear on landing it was a 2 foot by 2 foot puddle but ended up 7 foot deep and the hassle of getting down to him and dragging him out in a bad way middle of nowhere in a boulder field with bus sized jagged rocks and a cliff to get up , fortunately I got him moving and stupidly we even had a couple of casts and I could see he was smashed to bits so we called it and drove the 90 mile home with a few cod ,, but I think Craig got the fright of his life that night,, but all is well that ends well so they say 😂👍 cheers buddy
Unlucky david on the silver bar but nice to see a codling on the lure always take care but yano the craic and how slippy it it is out on them rocks av just been treating mesel to a lure setup a went with savage gear rod 9" 10-50 paired with shimano sedona c3000hg so cant wait to get stuck in to that am sick of bait fishing for summer cod atm a think its realy hard atm so went over to HMB last night had a few hounds out between us and a had a small tope pup witch was nice to see anyways hope your ok with your little fall you had take care buddy👌🏻👍🏻🎣
Massive fan of your video's Time for you to try the "Bombarda method" mate. Seriously, it's a game changer, particularly in shallow venues where you can fish the lure slow and erratic instead of quick retrieves to avoid the inevitable snags... I guarantee it will massively improve your catch rates 😊
I particularly love the bombarda method using streamer type lures. On a floating bombarda you can allow them to flutter down through the water slowly with the occasional jerk forward. A nice gentle way to fish without constantly casting and retrieving...
It’s definitely hard work mate it seems slower than usual this year bass fishing i went out last night for a few hours perfect nighttime conditions fishing over reefs locally normally get success but drew another blank 😮
It can be a tough sport sometimes, my mate was sat on his box got up to talk to me and a boulder fell off the cliff behind us and squashed his box, if he hadnt got up to come to talk to me he would have been killed. take a look at my story on the spooligan channel, Allen Brown at cardiff bay, my story is very interesting. tks for the video.
Lucky your head didnt hit the rocks bud, not being rude but if your going night fishing in a strange beach you should go with someone anyways good video and good luck im lucky live in ayrshire beaches all round take care bud
Do you always walk around the house wearing your waders has your house got a bad case of rising damp 😂great video happy day’s 🥸👍
Yes Dave smashing video big fan love to see when you upload , makes my day
Is that a Salmon / sea trout taking the Mickey at 10:19 😅
Another great video. Cant beat a day on the coast, fish or no fish doesnt really matter just the fresh sea air always helps whether its been a tough day or week at work.

Tope are listed as "Critically Endangered", despite being present From the UK to New Zealand and South America, and locally abundant as we see here. Eels are also supposed to be "Critically Endangered", despite the fact that you will catch them if you fish worms in any UK river.
@@baldieman64 interesting, thanks.
Nice video as usual David. Shame about the low catch rate but you are not alone in that respect here in the North East. Fishing long sandy beaches as you were doing is one of my all time favourites, but over June and early July it has been rubbish despite picking the best tides and conditions and making sure you have decent bait. However, last week I decided to give it a go as there was a bit of surf along with a small tide. The silver lads were back! Nuff said.
Cheers Gordon thanks as ever for your support. Yes hasn’t been a great season so far has it, never mind…glad you got into the bars, well done 💪 tight lines 🙋♂️
Getting out fishing can really help when you’ve had a crap day / week and that’s way more important than whether you actually catch fish or not .. great watch as always David and I hope ya well .. hope Gary’s doing good too 👍🏻
@@markwilson4568 exactly that Mark! Not all about fish. Gary is good, been very busy with various things but hopefully we’ll be fishing together again soon. Tight lines 🙋♂️

Whatched you video fishing the tyne from south shields, you showed a loop rig in a packet andsaid it was good. Could you tell me was this available to buy , if so where from . Nice to meet you in Billy's.
Hi Keith, nice to meet you too. I make my loop rigs myself but I’m sure AD Tackle or Billy’s in Wallsend will have some pre made. Give them a bell, hopefully you get sorted 👍 tight lines 🙋♂️
Evening David, always good to watch your videos , and this one looked to be a really quiet location and the ideal spot to unwind after work. If it had been one of my local beaches I would of been busy stopping dogs either eating my bait or peeing on my tackle box rather than watching the rod tip. At least you didn’t blank and it was nice to see the fish safely returned, until the next one tight lines buddy 🎣🎣🎣
@@captainstevecook cheers Steve glad you enjoyed. Yes very nice to get out, I did have to deal with one dog but it was fine. 😂 thanks for watching and commenting, tight lines 🙋♂️👍

Dave, Druridge is a place you MUST walk at low water spring tides to find the marks and mark them in your head, otherwise it is just featureless sand.
@@davidoldboy5425 no doubt Dave, I’ll have to find the time at some point…
@@fullcircleangling I think I know where you were - clue 'if you get my drift' if you'd moved directly opposite where you came onto the beach it is better. After all it is 7 miles long and has very few features other than sand, a desert even to fish.
