  I have just downloaded and purchased VideoProc, but converting MOV to MP4 is taking forever for just 1 file !!. I need to MERGE 9 MOV files into 1 MP4. Is this possible?   EXTREMELY helpful! Your tutorial is very clear and intuitive. This is exactly what I needed to convert DVDs for both my TV and to help my mom watch old family movies already converted to DVD on her iMac since she has no DVD player.   I would definitely use an SSD Drive for these DVD conversation processes. I do know that SSD Drives are a bit more expensive than your typical, conventional, older technology ("vintage & retro"!) Mechanical "Pointer" Drives, BUT IT IS WELL WORTH THE INVESTMENT to invest in a proven SSD Drive Platform, in order to limit, or just basically "DO AWAY WITH" the crashing of an older Mechanical "Pointer" Drive. The following "name brand" recommendation IS JUST MY OPINION and has NOTHING to do with ANY PAID ENDORSEMENT. In other words, it's JUST A GOOD WILL & HELPFUL ENCOURAGEMENT: I have been using Samsung® EVO™ Series SSD Drives, 2 TB versions, for my stock of DELL laptops, with ABSOLUTELY NO CRASHING OR INSTABILITY ISSUES WHATSOEVER, for the last three years.   This doesn't make sense. If you change a video's frame rate from 30 to 60 fps, it won't automatically look smooth like true 60 fps. Just tweaking the fps setting won't do it. You need to use AI frame interpolation for that, which VideoProc does feature, but it has nothing to do with what was shown in the video.

  Since this video was created before VideoProc AI Frame Interpolation was available, the old method was used. As you mentioned, this old method only changes the fps parameter of the video and does not truly improve the visual quality. However, it is still very popular, as some social media platforms require high fps videos for smooth playback. In such cases, the method demonstrated in this video can be used to increase fps without altering the file size.

  changing the resolution from a DVD to 1920x1080 will only increase the file size, it will not upscale the video, nor will it look sharper, you can only upscale from 720x480 to 1920x1080 if you use AI, but that is enherently slow, coding a movie will take more than a day, so i leave it at the DVD's original resolution, you could use the sharpen filter, however, it sharpens too much and you dont have a way to manually turn it down so you dant have those horrible halo's, anyway, otherwise a great tool
