I'm a theater kid, always have been, but I've always done tech, but this show has made me want to act this year at my school!
The Hayes theatre where it was previously is a Broadway house it just moved to a bigger Broadway house.
Conngrats Lindsay, this a great for you. I am so jelly of you

Dan Berry on a ✨magnet✨
For the matter of time I think the Soc's storyline get cut down. So Cherry's importance is cut down, coz she has more emotional depth about whether or not to speak out at court about Bob or not. And even Paul's character is cut for convienece. He tries to make up for his actions and doesn't show up for the rumble. I haven't seen the show so I don't know if its in the dialogue on not the songs but I think that it's not there
i love throwing in the towel, little brother, run run brother, grease got a hold, runs in the family/(reprise), justice for tulsa, trouble, hoods turned heroes, hopeless war, tulsa ‘67/(finale), stay gold, far away from tulsa, soda’s letter, death’s at my door, i could talk to you all night, and friday at the drive in, VERY loosely in that order
Usually when I listen to any musical album, there are a few that I always skip for one reason or another. HOWEVER, when it comes to The Outsiders musical, I do not skip a single song. Every single one is amazing, and I am so happy because The Outsiders is my FAVORITE book of all time. Not exaggerating. I read the book at least once a month and I watch the movie frequently.
SAME HERE BABES

best to worst? or worst to best?
@@daveynewsies 1 is best and 19 is not best
@@X_Someone Soda's Letter and Grease Got A Gold are painfully low
I know I’m two weeks late but BIG congrats! Just found the podcast and it’s so lovely to listen to someone be as excited as I am about theatre!!
Wait this is so sweet!!! Thank you so much!!
right. yeah. she has arrived,
Yes Lindsay!!!! I am so happy for you. I am screaming crying throwing up. I can't wait to see this show in December on the 14th!
omg EXCITING!!! You’re gonna love it!
Jeremy Jordan deserved a tony
The vocals in “Throwing In The Towel” are outstanding. If you haven’t seen it you should watch the studio recording session.

Friday at the Drive-in is probably my least favorite song. I just really don't understand what it brings to the story.
Joshua Boone's favorite song is Throwing In The Towel too!
I love Stay Gold, Grease Got a Hold, Throwing in the Towel, Little Brother, you know what? I like them all 😂
It's a no skip album which is rare. Stay gold is my favorite song then Death's at my door and Throwing in the towel. I misheard a few lyrics listening to Throwing in the towel the first time on the Instagram story and thought Brent was saying "What if they lock up runaways?" lol it made sense at the time
Happy 100th Episode! 🎉🎉🎉 I've only started watching you in the last 2 weeks, but I've been HOOKED! ❤ Here's to another 100 eps! BTW, I totally recc watching the 2014 pro-shot of Gypsy starring Imelda Stauton! 🥰
Yes Lindsay, happy 100th episode to From the Mezzanine. Today is going to be a great day!!!!
Thank you so much for celebrating with me!!!!
I forgot that Hopeless War even existed the first two times that I saw the show
1000000% agree Throwing In The Towel is in another LEAGUE, I can't stop listening to it
Can’t stop, won’t stop listening to Throwing in the Towel. It STAYS on repeat
RIGHTTTT ITS TOO GOOD
The first verse tho is GOLD
My top three are (in no particular order, this is hard lol): Hopeless war, Justice for Tulsa, and I could talk to you all night (honorable mentions: Throwing in the Towel and Run Run Brother)
WOWWWWW sounds like you’re partial to Cherry’s songs (& I can’t blame you!!)
@@FromtheMezzanineBroadway yes!! Lol so fun to sing along!! I didn’t come to fully appreciate I could talk to you all night until the album came out!!
Hi Lindsy, Yes broadway bestie Bren is back. I have two question for you about the songs in general. when the reprise Tulsa '67 doesn't Ponyboy’s voice sound deeper and when do callback to Great Exepectation in Far away from Tulsa do you "The house of Fred and Dickens" or "The house I’ve read in Dickens.” These two questions have bothered me ever since the album came out.
Hi! Thanks for watching! I haven't noticed that his voice sounds different, but I'll listen for that now! Online it says the lyrics in Far Away from Tulsa are "Like a house of red in Dickens where the walls are crumbling down"
In the finale it’s Darrel, Brent Comer reading it! And it’s “like the house I’ve read in Dickens” (at least on Apple music lol)
Ok I was looking at the lyrics on Genius and I was like yeah this doesn’t sound right
I believe that the opening line in the reprise is read by Darry rather than by Ponyboy, but I could be wrong. However, that's why I think it's deeper, because it isn't Ponyboy :)
@silvianaa Ohh, I was wondering about that too that makes sense
Great show!
It is actually only 1 full year apart, Part 2 is slated for thanksgiving 2025. They confirmed no songs have been cut and said there is 3 new songs. I think breaking it into two parts gives them more time to build their friendship and go deeper into their characters. I think them not showing Ethan is because of all the drama with him and Ariana.
Yes Broadway Bestie Brin is here. I am so siked for the Wicked movie
People I know thought Stereophonic was excellent. A bunch of Suffs actresses could have been nominated in Featured Actress. I think puppets are in Costume Design, but not sure. That would explain Water for Elephants.
Yes about Brent Comer!! His voice was the biggest surprise and my favorite!
Iconic!!!!!
I loved Paradise Square as well!
Suffs cast is brilliant. That is worth seeing again too. I hope it doesn’t close soon, but it’s only getting just over 80% of capacity. Surprised that Lempicka is closing so long before Tony’s. Enough with the Josh Gad and Andrew Rannells stuff. Hopefully they can present. Gatsby didn’t wow me, but Surprising that Gatsby sets missed the nom. Projections malfunctioned when I saw it late previews. I saw one of the reviewers mentioned it too. 💯% agree with Bryn on Chip Zien snub. Didn’t see Outsiders yet. Jonathan Groff has to make Franklin Shepard relatable so you don’t hate him. That’s not an easy task.
I miss Kimberly akimbo
You are not alone!
@@FromtheMezzanineBroadway I loved that show so much ❤️
Hi
Chip Zien was the biggest snub, more so than Gutenberg guys.
I am very proud of all the nominees I love supporting all the shows and performers …
Gutenberg snubbed 😢
I think if you look at the absolute raves for the exact same production of Cabaret from West End, and then factor in that the vast majority of the critics were obsessed with the amended production, the reviews make more sense.
I thought Gatsby was meh. Gatsby NOT the best. Didn’t care about any of the characters. No jazz age vibe. Not memorable. The sets were impressive and actually surprised they missed scenic design Tony nomination. I think this production will close sooner. It will close before the other production arrives. Very much looking forward to seeing Stereophonic.
I just can't get over the talent of the Gatsby cast! They made a huge impression on me!
@@FromtheMezzanineBroadway Agree the cast was talented, but they were not able to make up for the other shortcomings in the production.
@@yankee04the story is far from perfect but it seems to be doing very well in the box office as it has been earning 1 million dollars for the past few weeks.
Very nice! Teeth sounds soooooo good.
It's truly life-changing!
Hi . I love you and your reviews and much more
Thank you so much!
See water for elephants that was great
Hoping for multiple nominations for Suffs. I loved it, and was already familiar with many of the suffragists. It’s definitely a story that needs to be told.
Yes, it's such a fantastic show!
Another banger 🙏
Thank you!
No. I want too see Heart of Rock’n Roll
You still should! Some are enjoying it and it looks like it got relatively positive reviews.
