These lyrics to Longer Boats have an extra verse I've never heard until now. He has a real diversity of tunes.

Joe was my buddy. I met him in Tokyo in 1979. I asked him "Have you talked to Paul lately?". He said "Paul called me yesterday because Jimmy McCulloch died. Joe was a great guy. I had recently met John Lennon and Joe said "Paul never mentioned John's name the whole time he played with him".

And if you take your love away from me I'm only gonna want it back I'll probably pretend, I didn't see But knowing me I'll want you back again and again Till the word has lost its meaning And love is all that stays, only love remains If you should ever feel that something's wrong I'm gonna want to put it right To bring a happy ending to our song I'll carry on believing in a love If your love was to trickle through my fingers What would it leave me with Only love remains (Only love, love remains) Only love (Remains) Old enough and strong enough to stretch across the world Taking the sand inside an oyster, changing it into a pearl Making another magic transformation Find the right boy for the right girl When all our friends have gone away and we're alone There's nothing left to show about Together we'll explore the great unknown I'd say we won't be going out tonight Let tonight be the one that we remember When love is all that stays Only love remains When love is all that stays (Only love, love remains) Only love remains Only love remains (Only love)

Love John, and Yoko, but I’m sorry….i don’t believe Sean just happened to be born, by cesarean section, no less, on the exact same day as John….i just do not believe it. Everyone knows that you can, and often do, select a date to have a cesarean section, unless it is an emergency, in which case it is done immediately. They went to the hospital the day before, on the 8th, and were there for quite some time/many many hours before Sean was born, at 2 am the next day on the 9th. I think she was admitted on the 8th, the day before, got settled in, and then they waited until it was the 9th to have the baby by cesarean section.

I agree with the other poster. This is probably from 1973 not 74. 1 - Elton didn't wear those glasses in 74, and 2 - The Who wouldn't be promoting Relay in 74 when it was released in Dec 72. 1973 seems much more likely.

Love Herman and the Hermits... but this version probably gave Bowie the shivers, and not in a good way. This cleary isn't a song about pretty suburban girls in miniskirts that make cute curtsies mid song.
