  Alain Girress was a better player than Platini... except Platini had a bigger personality. Girress was a fantastic underrated player. Or even Cantonna was also better than Platini.

  Im a extreme FC Bayern Fan....one of my best friends is a Borussia Dortmund Fan....I remember watching this one...always a bit jealous that Matthias Sammer, Stefan Reuter, Julio Cesar, Karl-Heinz Riedle and Stephane Chapuisat played for Dortmund. Juventus Turin also had a stacked Team with the greatest man-marker Germany has ever produced with Kohler....and Roberto Baggio was incredible. But i was studying Turin's hardest worker= Didier Deschamps. Back then in the ninties I player for a small Club in Berlin, Germany called Normania 08....and I played as Libero - so I was most interested by Libero's and the classic interceptor or vacuum cleaner 6. Also depressing was the fact that Kohler went to Dortmund instead of Bayern after this season.

  Easily top 5 in Portugal's History: 1. Cristiano Ronaldo 2. Eusébio 3. Fernando Peyroteo 4. Paulo Futre 5. Luís Figo And this Portugal team from the early/mid 90s had a lot of superstars, combining the "old" ones, like Futre and Rui Barros, with the new generation from Vítor Baía, Fernando Couto, Paulo Sousa, João Vieira Pinto, Luís Figo and Rui Costa. It was a shame that they did't make the 1992 Euro and the 1994 World Cup. It would had been great to see them along the other european underdogs, like Romania (Petrescu, Belodedici, Popescu, Răducioiu, Hagi, Dumitrescu and Lăcătuș), Sweden (Ravelli, Patrik Andersson, Larsson, Dahlin, Brolin and Kennet Andersson) and Bulgaria (Ivanov, Kostadinov, Stoichkov, Letchkov, Yordanov, Balakov and Penev).

  Baggio and Del Piero could have been devastating together for club and country ADP playing just a little higher up the pitch than Baggio, with the two rotating their positions. I would have played those two and then one from Vialli and Ravanelli instead of Vialli, Ravanelli and Baggio OR Del Piero.
