Testing and review channel for ammo and accessories. Currently looking for and testing some of the lowest cost (aka cheapest) options available in the marketplace to compare against known, but much more expensive, competitors. All videos are for entertainment purposes. We are not advocating for or against, nor sponsored by, any items discussed in the videos. Please do not try this at home.
Tests conducted to date have been with either water testing typically in gallon or 2-litre bottles or using homemade ballistic gel. The gel is mixed at a 9-1 ratio water to mix by weight using a 250 bloom pork skin gelatin. It is stored, transported and shot cold. Recently purchased bb gun to calibrate. Also recently got a Clear Ballistics block to compare against. I test with a heavy clothing, not full denim, barrier of 1 layer of denim 1 layer of fleece.and 2 cotton t-shirt layers to simulate more realistic clothing. I hope you find the testing, comparisons and data provided interesting

We all need to help make this channel bigger and start donating to help out. One of the few channels that uses real calibrated 10% gel
Good test, thanks. 👍
You must have a strong trigger finger lol
I just ordered one of the little S&W Bodyguard 2.0 and found this video researching ammo for it. I do not really have a need for 380, I just like the little gun.🤷♂ Good testing👍, I took a minute and poked around you channel. My kind of content, but you seem a little inactive lately. I did subscribe in hopes that you will be back.👍
Great penetration and expansion. This is my defensive ammo, perion.
These are for PCCs. Your not getting enough velocity..
If my aggressor is 6foot 5inches with arms as big around as I am give me the HSTs
The velocity seems low for .357 but the expansion of the Golden Saber bullet appears excellent.
Thank you for the review. Just ordered 200rds
THOSE ROUNDS Will STOP A PERSoN for sure///....380 cal will not put you in jail plus good defense round
Would not cycle in my G3C,period.
never seen them in 50 r box, usually 20r
5 : 39 - don't cry, its ok, try 5 inch gun
Next the BARNES in 45
Nice job can you do the BARNES DEFENSE Ammo in 45
Pretty nice and a good inexpensive 38Sp load. Thanks Northwoods.
Would like to see how their 200gr Hardcast does! You certainly can't go wrong!✌️
That is a great design on those and a shame it did not evolve more as it is really a great idea as it won't plug.
Very Nice!
Is this the 50 grain frangible round or the 90 grain hollow point?
BARREL IS TOO SHORT NEED 3.6 TO 4.0 INCH BARREL TO VERIFY FPS.....6 INCH DEEP WILL VIOLATE THE AVERAGE PERSON'S HEART...
Looks like a great bear round if you see it in time
I carry gold dots in my ppks. I'm just fine with that penetration 😊
Just picked up a few boxes of the punch, thank you for your testing
I don't waste my time with fancy 380 ammo. Plan cheap fmj works just fine. Some Militaries and police used fmj 380 into the 90's before switching to higher calibers.
Their is a severe difference in cost. Copper bullets that have to be cut on a C&C machine are much more expensive than a bullet that is made through injection molding polymer and copper particles. Great test.
Pretty good performance I’d say.
Perfect pentration. Very rare to find in an expanding 380
Ranger one (expensive fmj)
147 HST’s all day / everyday
Brilliant! Thanks for discovering this round, it definitely warrants testing out of the 1.9 inch barrel Ruger LCR.
Mine all say +p on box and back of bullets same box you have too that’s weird 🤔
I am a fan of this ammunition and I like the 140 grain version as well. This looks better for urban carry and the 140 for time in the great outdoors.
Exact test I was looking for-big HST fan. 34 year LEO.
"Budget friendly." Hahahahaha!! Thank you for the test. Very good. I just picked up one of theses Rossi RP63-3" revolvers so I appreciate this. Academy has them for $39.99 and as mentioned in the video these can be found cheaper on line but, not by very much. I do have a few boxes from when they were $22 a box at Wal Mart before the panic insanity began. I know, I know, that was then and this now. Lol.
And 'plunk test' failures?
What a waste
Another gummy test. What happens when they hit muscle and bone?
tools used a ported 4in barrel and sam used a standard 4 in barrel ... i think the ported barrel is more like the 3inc maybe .. I get closer to your numbers with my 686+ consistently with this ammo... and it is easier shooting than the Remmington 125 gr 357 which i constantly get 1350 + /- in my 686+. thanks for the video
For the price thats pretty good ammo. I may have to look into purchasing a box or ten😂
To be expected. Nice test.
In stock right now, $76.99 for 200 rds 8/25/24 Edit: spelling
They are a brass case and nickel plated the 147gr HST is one of my favorite rounds I like the Winchester T series I never tried the Winchester one's they look like the Winchester USA ready witch are good but they have a red insert. I like all Winchester ammo the old red and white box is still one of the best budget ammos on the market and the NATOs are +p FMJ ball ammo and some of the best target and plinking ammo money can buy
Why is the Gel not clear?
The clear gel isn’t standard and should not be used
I’ve had the older model LCP for over 10 years & hundreds of trouble free rounds of FMJ & HP. It’s a perfect always-gun, especially in warm weather or when I have to wear thin dress slacks.
Thank you for using the correct gel blocks instead of the fake clear gel.
Very well done test.
The Ruger LCP Max is my EDC and the only ammo I trust is Defiant Munitions and Underwood Xtreme Defender.
Anyone tried the same cartridge but +P?
