In all, 15 Giocattolos were made. The first 4 were prototypes with 3 built with Alfa V6s and one with a Holden V8 racing engine. The problem with the Giocattolo was that insanely expensive and yet looked too much like the car who's body shell it used, the Alfa Romeo Sprint. The new body panels make the car look fantastic but it still looked like an Alfa. All the prototypes were rebuilt with the 5 litre Holden V8 Group A engine.

I love the Valiant Charger. I used to walk past one every day on the way to school. It was love at first sight. My mum forbade me from buying one as my first car as she thought I'd wrap it around a tree. She was probably right lol

The Valiant (Chrysler) Charger coupe had 3 muscle car variations the initial VH series E38 R/T for touring car racing with 280hp 245 hemi six 3spd manual, superseded when available by the E49 R/T with a 300hp 265 hemi six 4spd and the V8 E55 GT coupe with a mild 340 engine also offered as a luxury option in the upmarket SE 770 Charger when an R/T touring race version didn't pan out and they had surplus 340 engines. The regular "luxury" V8 option for the Charger was the lethargic 318. Later series GT V8 option imported the 360 instead of the 340 as the V8 R/T was no longer on the books and it was now just a GT engine option, which had a lot less power than the 340. Where a lot of those went was the police force for use as highway interceptors. At the time it was probably the fastest cop car in Australia. If you manage to actually find a rare 340 VJ Charger, odds are it's an ex cop car. Everybody loved the big hemi sixes on the street scene, they were just as fast as any GT V8 at the time and on the track the R/T sixes were quicker than the 340 Charger R/T test vehicle so that's why they cancelled the V8 R/T here and only sold it as a GT to offload the engines, then imported the 360 as a lazy GT. It was the same deal with imported Shelby Mustangs, the GT350 was quicker on the track than the GT500 so the big block didn't really pan out in local racing as an import desire. Big engines still had a luxury GT market but in Australia the small block was always quicker for handling and braking and crazy modded sixes were often about as quick as the small blocks on track for the same reason. Tight tracks designed to keep speeds down I guess. It's no joke, I've driven on a couple and it's like driving on a bike track in a park except it's supposed to be touring car racing. Despite local media claiming otherwise with ban performance cars alarmism, nobody was ever doing 170mph here in the 60s-70s, with about 370-380hp the 351 GTs could manage a top speed of less than 140mph on the fastest straight in 1969 and it took until now, with modern 650-700hp EFI "supercar" tourers to crack 180mph the media said GT cars were capable of in 1972 when parliament made new laws restricting them. You know how they bullshit.

Walter White mobile, also I owned a 2005 Buick Rendezvous and it’s the worst car I’ve owned. It drove fine but it had so many issues that piled up to be more than I’d bought the car for🤷🏻‍♂️. First car though.

Fun fact: there was also a supercharged Shelby Durango made in the early 2000s. Fun fact 2: There was a Ramcharger sold in Mexico only during the early 2000s. It looked exactly like a 2nd gen Dodge with a bed cover.

That Quadrasteer was no joke! Years ago I damn near bought one. But I really needed a diesel. Unfortunately in typical GM fashion. They didn’t ever offer it on vehicles that it would actually have sold well… and on top of that they never advertised it in anything other than a 30 minute long infomercial in the overnight hours of television. They never offered it with an Duramax. But I can tell you… If they had made a crew cab long bed 3500 with a Duramax and Q-Steer. I’d have bought it and I’d still have it to this day.

gm is bringing back the “quadrasteer”..whenever they do something and its low production number’s, and not really pushed for sales, its because they are using it as a test bed to gain knowledge on the system, then they go back and refine it more.

With how big GM trucks and SUVs have become, the quad steer system should be brought back. It’s being used now by luxury cars like the S-Class and the 7-Series, I don’t why the new SUVs that are bigger than some houses shouldn’t have that.

If I ever get the chance to go back in time, I’m going to convince the engineers to build an RCSB Silverado SS. Only being available in extended cab is nonsense.
