    Have you had old med students at UWA?

  • @oztrekkeducationalservices
    @oztrekkeducationalservices2 ай бұрын

    Great question! One of the main things med schools consider is the number of years since you've last studied, but some will consider degrees older than 10 years, and UWA is one of them. For more details about how this works, just reach out to [email protected]. All the best!

    How do you come back to Canada to become a dentist afterwards.

  • @oztrekkeducationalservices
    @oztrekkeducationalservices3 ай бұрын

    Great question! The Commission on Dental Accreditation of Canada (CDAC) recognizes Australian Dental Council (ADC) and Dental Council of New Zealand (DCNZ) accreditation for all general dentistry degrees. This means that graduates of Australian/NZ dental schools can follow the same process as graduates of a Canadian dental school: certification through the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB), pass the virtual OSCE, and then register with your provincial dental regulatory authority. Reach out to our Dentistry Team at [email protected] for more info.

  • @oztrekkeducationalservices
    @oztrekkeducationalservices4 ай бұрын

    Hi there, great question! If you’re an international student, you’re aware that it’s a condition of your visa to maintain Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for the entire duration of your stay in Australia. OSHC is insurance to assist international students meet the costs of medical and hospital care that they may need while in Australia. OSHC will also pay limited benefits for pharmaceuticals and ambulance services. No matter where you seek medical services, how much you need to pay-if at all-depends on your OSHC provider, as not all medical procedures and medications are covered (or partially covered). It’s best to contact your provider for details. Best wishes!
