  I made this bag as a gift to my daughter. Thank you for the tutorial for making the strap. It’s strong and looks very cute! I’m sewing a lining inside so smaller items won’t fall through the gaps. 🌻

  Take frequent breaks. I had this happen yesterday, and as much as i didn't want to, i took a break. They also have gloves that you can get to help with pain.

  You can wet block your work by fully submerging the squares in water and then pinning them onto foam mats to dry. You could also use a spray bottle to spray water at the squares/bag. I have also seen people put water in a bowl and then just flick water at their work with their fingers!

  Welcome to the world of crochet ❤️ Don’t worry, you’ll get faster with more practice and experience. Each granny square goes a lot quicker once you’ve memorized the pattern and you’re familiar with all the stitches!

  I would try out your hooks with the yarn you’re using and see which granny square you like better (look at the density of the stitches, how big the gaps are, the drape, etc)!
