  Won't upgrade from my Action 4 if the sensor and lens are the same. It will probably only have marginal impact on image quality and that is not worth the investment in a new camera for me.

  The 1 inch sensor is reserved for the DJI Pocket 3. DJI will not sabotage the sales of their top-selling mini camera for the sake of an action camera. However, you will get significantly improved low-light performance with the same 1/1.3" sensor and several more pro features. Insta360 Remains the only company to put out an action camera with a full 1 inch sensor. I'm talking about the insta360 One RS 1-inch Leica camera. Not the 360° version. It has been discontinued and is in the Hall of Fame of cameras.

  I broke my gopro 3 months ago, and I was expecting something much better, but however, at least action 4 will probably be cheaper ... And still a huge upgrade for me . I had gopro 7 black...

  Rumoured action camera specs tend to be about 30% accurate. If the Action 5 Pro really has a 1-inch sensor, I would expect the Pocket 3 to go on sale for a deep discount. Why? Because it would be able to do most everything the Pocket 3 can do PLUS it's is more rugged and waterproof. Somehow I think it will have the same sensor as the action for, but new internal technology will enhance the low light imagery.

  Yes, sensor will be same for 4 & 5. But, not for 5 Pro. With new chip in process, DJI release will make Action 3 & Action 4, GoPro 12(+) and insta360 ace and ace pro obsolete. Yes! May be! DJI is going to unveiling Osmo Action 5 on August 1, 2024.

  Well let’s hope DJI give Davinci resolve the log Input color space and Gammut white paper information so us colorists can convert the Dlog or DlogM into the Davinci wide Gammut working color space. Myself and several customers have asked DJI about this important issue and DJI refuse to answer which I find is disappointing and disrespectful to customers that have paid a lot of money for the Mavic 3 Pro. All other camera manufacturers supply Davinci with their logs white information so why not DJI. If this continues I hope a competitor starts making drones and give Davinci the log profiles so us colorists can grade more professionally

  Probably DJI 4 gonna have same spec or even worse as DJI 5. The pro gonna be the slight upgrade with increased price. This is usual business tactic (scam)

  Blame consumerism for that. I mean GoPro 11 vs 12, just see what they gave us, slight battery performance and no gps. New processor still a hardware updates. It is also possible action 5 pro has similar route

  Nope, expected a larger Sensor and maybe 5k resolution and maybe 180+ Mbits. Unless it offers anything above the Action 4 I will buy the 4.

  Need to stip focusing on higher resolution and focus on actually getting 4K to record constantly without over heating. Also. GoPro has the smaller sensor of the bunch which makes it the worst in low light situations.

  What? DJI will be able to finally beat GOPro? Lord, guess you even haven't used a DJI product before least to compare it with GOpro.. Please be honest, have you ever used a DJI Osmo Action before? DJI is kinda 5 years ago of GoPro . Debate you on this anytime you are ready. hahaha.

  Lol , bro, you don't know what you are talking about in your comparison between gopro and Dji Action cameras . The Dji action 4 blew the gopro hero 12 away in all ramifications, especially in lowlight performance and overall image quality . DJI ACTION CAMERAS ARE ALSO MORE RELIABLE IN EVERY WEATHER CONDITION . I have both action cameras, DJI ACTION 4, AND GOPRO HERO 12, but I use only the Dji because the gopro image quality is not as good as the DJI action 4 .

  Completely agree with you. The only reason Go Pro is still the default choice for many people is because it came into the market first. Even Insta360 or Go series has far better features than Go Pro.
