Fantasy, art & stained glass :)
Hey, my name is Marianne - I'm a self-taught artist and art lover currently recovering from a "if I don't know how to do it, I won't try" mentality. Art is all about experimentation, and treating your ideas with curiosity and respect - so that's what I'm practising these days. On this channel, I want to share excitement for art-making, but also art-loving: there are so many awesome people and works to fall in love with in the world. I hope you stick around and share your own art loves with us! :)

So cute!
Thank you! ☺✨

☺️💗
❤❤❤
💗
I truly hope more people get out of this 'distraction dystopia'! Thank you so much for raising awareness
I hope so too ✨ the world has so much to offer when we manage to get unstuck
This was beautiful ❤ I am with you about how meditation seems too out of reach for my “always on” brain, most of the times. I’ve come to take mental notes of which times I am engrossed so much in the task at hand that my brain doesn’t allow for anything else to go through, and I give myself a little mental pat on the back when I am able to do that. Also thanks for the book reco, adding it to the “want to read” shelf.
Little pats on the back are always nice 💚
I didn't expect to relate so much and to actually need this vid! Thank you very much for that great work.
Thank you so much for your comment 💗
I have learned this week to do the hard project that’s above your level because you will be happier with your progress. I have been essentially off social media this week because I’ve been worked by on a sewing project 2 levels above my own. Or what I perceive my level to be. I will tell you, I have never been more present in my brain.
That's such a good tip, actually! And also a good approach to art-making in general - pushing yourself outside of your comfort zone is always productive. I'm so curious about your sewing project, what have you been working on?!
This video is so well made, my god youre underrated. I agree with your opinion too, I spend so much time consuming that I forget myself. Art really is salvation
Oh thank you so much 💗 let's all go make more stuff!!
This was a lovely video! I really relate to "unclog your brain and go create something" <3 Also, my stance is that everything created with passion is art, and while it ruffled some feathers, it really helps embracing a creative practice!
I LOVE that! I totally agree with you, my definition of art is sooo large too ✨ cooking can be artistic!
❤❤❤

One trick that works for me is when I go on vacation I put my phone away and never use it. My wife's phone gets us directions and I have a camera. Then it becomes an enjoyable habit when I get back, and I now only use my phone for music in the car or phone calls. I just walk around enjoying stuff. Like before smartphones.
That sounds very peaceful :)
Who's your favorite villain? Mine is Dracula. He's just a thirsty dude.
Just an echo about what your said at 3:53 about the fact of considering oneself a "beginner artist" even thought one is a professional could be a way to emphasize oue creative practise forever testing and exploring things.. What you said remind me of a podcast I'd just listened to called "Feel the fear and do it anyway with Johanna Henley" by the Creative Boom. Johanna Henley, who can easily call herself an professional artist, stressed the same point and emphasized the cultural root that may occur here. In Europe and particularly in France, an artist at their 40s is still considered a " beginner" in the professional field and at the same is recongnized as a professional. She didn't say why, maybe it's the weight of the "Grandmaster" narrative in European history of art or something, but what she said is that it enabled her to thrive in her practice, because she would always feel as a"forever in progress artist" and thus not having to stop evolving, stop experimenting.. she would still doubt herself but still discover herself at the same time, and it fuels her. I'm not someone that likes too much being a floaty person, seldomly touching ground and feeling the urge to fly again, whether there is ground or not, but, I can get that this feeling of doubting our capabilities or our status could be somehow a powerful lift in a practice, specially if it not wanted from you to own this status in a fixed way anyway...
That's so interesting, thank you for sharing! It's kind of crazy to see how this mentality applies even to middle aged professionals. I suppose it's not particularly helpful to think about capacity (you could be a master in one subsection of art and a beginner in another). What's more interesting is whether you keep exploring new things :)
I love your authenticity and bubbly personality! Thank you for sharing!❤
You're so kind! 🔮🌹 Thank you :)

Thanks for sharing, very interesting! (Bartimeus <3)
I have yet to read the third Bartimeus book but I am SO excited to get to it :D
I really love the chit-chat videos and would absolutetly be thrilled by a part 2! PS: Nice sweater! Very swanky
Noted! 🗒 PS: thank you, truly the hero of the whole video
Merci.
❤️ merci à toi
Courageous act!
Ooh! Thank you!
DRAGON ZINE!!! 😮🫵🏽 (this is incredible)
Omg thank you!! Coming from the Zine Queen - this means a lot 😭 you've definitely inspired me to have fun with it :')
This is a very fun format! I also like how you've included all kinds of media in it too
There are too many things to love in this world, we have to COLLECT THEM ALL ✨
⚠️ I mention Hogwarts Legacy, because I still love the wizarding world, and am in awe of all the artists involved in making that world rich and beautiful. But I would like to be clear on one thing: I do *not* stand with JK Rowling's transphobia. Her obsessive hatred is causing real harm to real people, and that is unacceptable. Trans lives matter 🏳️⚧️
bg3 walkthrough when? :p - If you like bg3, you should play Divinity: Original Sin 2. Similar mechanics (turn-based, kinda like dnd 5e), same devs, even better story, even more choices to make. - If ya like Polyphia; check out Animals as Leaders; it's like jazz for people who like metal. Or check out 'Toe', they're like Polyphia if they made korean city-pop. - Ted Lasso: Yes! - Cheese art: Yes! - Guitar: Yes! Make music, it's fun! And then stop learning guitar and pick up the bass instead...👀 Great vid!
Haha a whole walkthrough?! That’s more your style ;) although I saw a creator mention they wanted to do a “Tav tour” and show off their characters 😂 I could do something like that, except I’m only starting my second playthrough now so the Tav tour would only feature 2 PCs… - an even better story?! Even more choices?! I’ve never even heard of it! Will look into it thanks! - also noting down the music reccos - I could be tempted by the bass simply bc it has fewer strings… and therefore fewer problems Thanks! 🤗
OK but how cool is the medieval cheese art though... 🧀👀
This is such a nice video idea! And thanks for linking to the artists you've mentioned 😊
I'm glad you liked it! I love spreading the good word 😌🧀
I am people.
🤝
Wow! I did not know about this book! It’s so hard to find good resources for ‘dragon parents’, we need more!
I'll share more whenever I come across them! Us dragon parents need to stick together 🤜🏻🤛🏻
It’s their second album Demidevil is the first album?
Yep that's correct! But they called it their first studio album, which is a way to build hype around the fact that it's 'the first' release even though it technically isn't 😅 Marketing is weird.
Only you would meld alchemy, art and science into a beautiful art piece and philosophical video. This was super cool to watch and the ending doesn't feel unsatisying, it's more like a cliffhanger really! By the way, you say that the goggles are really needed for safety, but I was wondering if you ever get glass stuck to your fingers? Or do you have a way to avoid that?
Yeah, sometimes the glass debris does cut the skin a bit. But it's not that bad. It's more likely I'd cut myself on the sharp unpolished pieces. Some people wear gloves, I just don't have any (yet)
❤❤❤
❤️✨
Can’t wait to see the finished piece! Loved the video ❤
Thank you! :) I'm as curious as you are!
Bravo for the video! Glass is a fascinating material, it's really impressive to see you shaping it at your will (I once broke a saw and burnt a Dremel drill while just trying to shorten a glass vial x) ) good luck for your projects ✌️
Loool, you broke a Dremel drill!? That takes skill hahaha And thank you very much! :)
Hâte de voir la pièce terminée maintenant!
Et moi donc !
Tell the truth. When do YOU do a happy dance? (I notoriously dance my way through a good meal)
Maybe too often xD scoring a point playing badminton or foosball, or succeeding a nice dish...
I love that @@Space4ODC :) There's no such thing as happy dancing "too" often!!
Friday morning on a sunny Barcelona day is my typical time for happy dances 💃🏻
Hope you're well !
C'est super gentil, merci Alphonse ! Tu as totalement raison :)
As an artist, I agree, theres some mediums that I just can't use, oil paints are just not the same as watercolors, and making cosplays makes me happier than either of those. Also your art is really pretty
Some things just really feel like sparkles ✨🤍 thank you!
I subscribed after the first 2 minutes of this video, and this is the first time I came across you. Really looking forward to bingeing on whatever else you have.
Aww, thank you! ☺️ Welcome welcome, I hope you like whatever you watch next 🖤
This video is so well crafted... Congrats
Thank you 🥰
Joli travail de vitrail. Merci.
Merci beaucoup ☺️
Really interesting idea and cool execution. And possibly the finest 666 subscriber celebration on KZread
Thank you Sean ✨
Wonderful philosophical excursion. I also love your light diffuser.
Thank you, I'm glad you liked it ❤️🔥
I think it was very good for a second project! Look around and think, what inspires you? Work it into your art, that's all I can suggest.
Thank you! 🙏🏻 OK so my next project will be inspired by Everett Shinn, whose works entered public domain this year. I'm excited :)
Random recommendation. A good one. Now I'm subscriber 693.
The algorithm brought you precisely where you need to be 🙏🏻 (Welcome!)
