You should've read the back story and you should've watched the subtitled version. You also need to stop pausing the music for stupid comments and remarks. Take a leaf from Wolff and the melody's book.

I'm British-Swedish (half British and half Swedish) so Sweden's legacy in WW2 is a mixed one for me. On one hand, the Swedish supply of Germany is shameful to say thr least. But, on the other hand, they did also supply the Allies. Plus what choice did they have? Saying no to either side could've mesnt invasion

In principle, the entire Swedish society was on the side of the Germans. It was forbidden to enlist in foreign troops. Denmark and Norway had around 7 to 8 thousand volunteers in the viking division, Sweden had around 700 volunteers, but had it not been forbidden to enlist, had similar numbers as Denmark and Norway, then we probably would have had 7 to 8,000 volunteers in the viking division. Therefore, most Swedes moved to Norway and were sent to Germany via Norway and joined. In Division viking there were people from Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Dutch and Finns. Why were we on Germany's side? yes it is spelled Soviet Union. Many Swedes fought in the Finnish civil war against the red side. After the attack on Finland, most of them were against the Russians and Bolsheviks. Then our kings have a close bond with Germany. Gustaf the second Adolf Was married to Maria Elenora of Brandenburg, our current king's father was married to Sibylla of Saxe-Coburg-Gotha, Our current king's grandfather was married to Queen Victoria of Baden also from Germany. I myself would stand on the side of the Germans during those years because of the communists. In 1934, King Gustav V awarded the Grand Cross of the Order of the Sword to the German Reich Marshal Hermann Göring, together with the Swedish Crown Prince Gustav Adolf at the Swedish embassy in Berlin Sorry for my late comment

At the end they’re singing “We’re making fun of Germans”. They were deliberately edgy at the time because comedy on Swedish tv was so proper and “vanilla”.

Max Martin isn't really famous anywhere, despite being the biggest pop music producer ever, because he is a very private person and he has said himself that he is afraid of fame. There are some interviews with him here and there, and he has had to appear in person to pick up a few awards :D But other than that he has done his best to stay in the background.

If you think about it, the majority of GOOD comedy comes from the "left". Probably because historically satire was the "weapon" of the less fortunate to use against the nobility and rich.

The parlament is a panel gameshow in Sweden and he made jokes about WoW there and people who's playing it got mad and said he don't know anything about it and stuff like that so he made this video, with some more information to get it more correct and his brother who is a gamer was helping him out to get it all right. Very smart and very funny. That's also why he jokes about himself, saying it was not fun when he was joking about it, and corrected himself the way they did.

Hi Chris (Finland did belong to Sweden from about the year 1250 - to almost 1810) and yes - U right when thinking about that, Finland should at least have Germanic talking etc... The thing is that Sweden never tried to "forced" Swedish language on the Finnish people or adapt them to become "anything else". in the 14th century, when there were important gatherings in the kingdom, the Finns sent their delegations from Finland, and when they came to the gathering, there were always interpreters/translator who could tell/translate what was said and decided for the good of the kingdom/kingdoms. (important to know is that there was still not a whole area called Sweden yet.) Anyway, it did work for centuries, even if both our countries have nothing in common, when it comes to background, language culture etc. But it did work! No uprisings, no revolutions, and no oppression or unnecessary violence from the ruling elite. (I have been thinking for myself many times how this was even possible (I'm Swedish myself). My best friend is of Finnish heritage. We have known each other since kindergarten.

I have a recomendation. That you watch a swedish comedy show called "LOL: Skrattar bäst som skrattar sist" i don't know if it's free but it's really funny. The point of the program is that comedians try to make other comedians laugh but no one can laugh not even the person trying to make people laugh. So there's alot of people stuck in a room where they do challenges to make people laugh. There's alot of famous swedish comedians in the show such as Robert gustafsson for example. I am a swede and i think that it was the funniest thing that i almost have ever watched. Check it out! Much love from Sweden!

You should react to Jon Henrik Fjällgren - Daniels Jojk. Its from Sweden Got Talent 2014. He sings in sami jojk about his best friend Daniel that passed away. The sami (samer) is a swedish national minority that lives in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland. Jon Henrik was born in Colombia, but he was adopted by a sami family. He is now a very loved musical artist after his performance in Sweden Got Talent. Even though you do not understand one word of what he is singing, you can still feel the emotions through his singing. kzread.info/dash/bejne/p3uKucN-pMSYoNI.html. The subtitles does not seem to work properly in that video. But the story is that when his best friend died, Jon sat down outside his friends cabin and started to pray. And when he was sitting there, crying, Daniel responded to Jon with this Jojk. So Jon sang the Jojk and it made him feel much better. So Daniel helped Jon to move on and he decided to praise his friend Daniel and his family by performing the Jojk in front of an audience.
