You have to bind as enhanced receiver and make sure the radio is on latest firmware
Hi mate, this looks as simple as any other radio gear in your video. My kill switch has just stopped working I think…I can’t even get it to work on my original radio gear now which worked fine until I took it out of the car and swapped it to the noble. I couldn’t tell you what’s going on with it, Iv tried everything. Swapped the channel to a servo, works perfect, 100 right/ left when I use the assigned button for that channel. So there’s nothing wrong there, Iv done all that you’ve said to try
Maybe a snapped cable somewhere
@@WTFRCCars it’s all good, Iv had it out of the car and checked it, maybe something gone wrong on the board. Just gives me the radio lost fast blinking led

@@WTFRCCars so mate….your settings that you gave the wonderful world of KZread work a treat! I stripped the kill switch so I could see all the terminations/ soldering etc..got my multimeter out and compared it to a good working switch…found one small problem. De-soldered the cable, re-made the connection and resoldered…it’s now up and working correctly. I must have desturbed the kill switch itself when I swapped it over, must have been on its last leg. So pleased! Your settings on 60Hz were sound…I just started again once I found that. Really pleased I persevered

Only the pro and pro + can do momentary switch setup like this.
Craig I know the receivers come with this cable, question is the NB4 / NB4+ app capable of this in their menus etc?

Yeh all of the nb4 radios are :) they released a firmware update when the receiver was released :)

I just purchased a mini 6kg servo for my 1/12 carpet racer. Man, that thing is fast - even at 4.8v NIMH power. Really great servos
Yeh it's going to be a really good servo with AGFRC being the manufacturer ;)

How on earth do k set my NB4 + engine kill switch up? Iv tried everything Iv read, watched etc…I have a 1T hilantronics kill switch and got this radio gear as was told it’s the cream of the crop….I can’t assign the kill switch for the life of me, never had this issue with anything before, even th e cheapest of cheap radios has been more user friendly than this regarding kill switch setup. It just won’t work. Any help would be awesome before this nb4 + goes against the wall 😝
It's easy, assign a button to ch3, set it to toggle so it makes the channel go 100 to -100 then connect your kill switch to ch3, if it doesn't work it's because your kill switch is slow and can't keep up with the transmitter so goto servo frequency and turn it to custom and lower it to 333hz :)
@@WTFRCCars thanks for your reply. Iv done all this already though after watching your stuff on your channel. It genuinely doesn’t work for me, tried it all. Iv assigned it to whatever the button is called on the right side of the steering wheel, made sure it operates as a switch rather than momentarily, it’s on channel 3 in my receiver and assigned to channel 3…tried digital, analogue, changed the frequency several times to different values, still won’t do anything mate. Losing the will to love with it haha
@GazYT1285 Try setting to 60hz some really slow kill switches need it that low but also have you tried a servo on ch3 to make sure it's going full in both directions?

@@WTFRCCarshi mate, still no joy with it. I’m starting to think the 1T Hilantronics kill switch isn’t compatible as it just won’t work. Iv watch all of your videos to do with the nb4 range, it just won’t have it
Since you seem to be building a drift car, I am using the Flysky INr4-GYB as gyro. To me this is the best you can use, maybe only out passed by Futaba 550 for having the tail slide configuration options. Certainly better than any Yokomo, 450 or Reved as there is more configuration option and it is as reliable. It is quite sensible to slow wobble if you are using any drift specific servo, I'm personally using the Flysky low profile servo with a very low 6% for both wobble specific options set in the gyro itself(can't remember the term used on top of my head).
Yeh definitely using the inr4 but with the yokomo Drift servo and it drives really well
receiver can place any where in chasis for gyro work ?
Yeh place it anywhere but remember to run calibration before you set up the gyro
Great video as always , I have an Mcd buggy with 4 servos , Steering ,Throttle and two for brakes ,I had issues trying to setup with 7pxr and M17 so i just bought a Noble Nb4+ , Which has engine cut ? Can i use that or do i need to stick with failsafe and use channel 3 , I also have the FGR8B so i have plenty of channels ,Thank You
Engine cut is what you use with nitro rc's it just drops the servo for throttle back to a point to make the engine stall for IC engine your better to run a kill switch :)

No you need 1.0.7 EN

Tbh all the high end motors are this price and I have so admit the things works so well, 2h of drifting and didn't even get hot

Just got my g7p, and had an issue with BVD....For some reason it would not show any voltage on the transmitter....Then after closer inspection I noticed that the BVD connector had the wires backwards. Instead of trying to back out the pins in the connector, I just shaved off the tab on the connector, so I could reverse it at the receiver ;) Not sure if anyone else had this issue, but thought I'd share :)

Hope FlySky opens it up to the XR series controllers..

@Larfinkle as far as I'm aware all of them do not allow esc control in racing
@@Larfinkleall of them. Neither ROAR, IFMAR, or even the Euro and Asia leagues allow wireless tuning as it could give a competitor an unfair advantage while on track. That’s why racing leagues will specify fixed timing.

Using a nb4 on rock crawler and need to take throttle out of reverse does nb4 transmitter have the capability to do this without effecting forward speed thanks in advance

@@WTFRCCars want to lower reverse rate only it is to fast when using reverse
@eugenesnyder1351 just reduce the end point on reverse to say 50% then you will have half speed in reverse :)

Great video, but side question. I noticed that your steering stays at about 2%. Mine stays from 2-4%, but only when turning right. If I turn left it returns to 0%. Do you know a fix or is it just the steering potentiometer going bad?
So it will only do this if you have the tension backed right off for the wheel :) mine was only like that cos I'd not set it up but now I'm running it I have added tension and it is always returned to 0 :)
@@WTFRCCars do you mean the spring tension? I have played with that and can't get it to 0.
@ryanlevin3459 set the tension then make sure the sub trim and trim are 0 then calibrate the transmitter :)

Please set your channels to 2 (fast) for onroad touring car for the best response rate minimal latency.
I really don't need to I run 1000hz servo for steering and 1000hz ibus 2 servo on my other TC so it's easily fast enough I won my final last race meeting and it was the 1st time racing at that track in 8 or 9 months :)
@@WTFRCCars yes i also use ibus2 servo, but its just unwanted latency. Its not just about speed but also more direct to feeling more connected to the car
@simmogaming2342 if your running 1000hz the you have no latency the difference between 2ch and 4ch 2 way at 1000hz is almost impossible to measure I know cos I've tried ;)
I understand the advantage of having the FGR4D in that it can run a fast servo at a higher frequency. If I'm working with a 330hz servo and I don't have any need for ibus or extended range from the dual antenna, does it offer any other advantages over the FGR4S? Any latency improvement?
Yes enhanced receiver have lower latency than classics

I just noticed your steering also doesn’t always return to 0%.. not a problem in real life.. but it triggers my ocd.. maybe that is something to fix in the Noble Pro ++ 😎
It's because I'd been messing with the wheel tensioner and backed it all the way off so almost no tension at all to centre it, when set even slightly tighter it always stops at 0 :)

Nope but you can use the inr4 GYB receivers that have full stability control
Tape the leads with a Kapton tape
You can not sure why you would want to but won't hurt
Hello, I’m currently using the spectrum DX 5C and I want to switch to the noble, but my question is between the 2 new + models other than settings and what not is there any differences between the two such as steering, throttle, latency and so on it will be used for carpet racing. I appreciate your feedback thank you.
For any type of serious racing the pro+ is the easy choice, data logging, 2ch extra low latency mode, multiple added exponential options and the wheel foam feels amazing, the nb4+ is an excellent transmitter but the pro+ for racing is better but you will be happy with either of them :)
I’ve got weird problem with throttle I’m running a hw 13.5 spec I70 motor with hw xr10 spec 1cell which I have on my 1/12 scale pan. My problem is when I hit throttle it runs like 2 seconds then quits Motor and esc wired up correctly not sure if in esc or noble any suggestions I’ve never had this problem in last 6 years. Thanks
Check that the transmitter and receiver are on the same firmware by updating the receiver from the transmitter menu. So long as this is correct and the channel is staying where you hold the throttle then I'd say run calibration on the esc, also make sure lvc is not set too high in the esc :)
@@WTFRCCars I noticed just below ur reply I had the same trouble on 1/12 scale pan car. Come to find out it was sensor wire I had to change wire 3 times and on the 3rd wire it work fine. Thanks for quick reply

Hey Craig, quick question. I just recently ordered the NB4+ hand wheel for my NB4 and was wondering: what is really the size difference between the L and the normal hand wheel? I kinda want to try a larger hand wheel but don’t want to order it if there’s not that significant of a size. I’m willing to give Sour Sky a chance after they’d screwed me on my shipping but I don’t want it to be the same terrible experience.
The large wheels is alloy part is roughly the same size as the normal wheel including the foam so when it's like adding another foam on top of the stock size wheel doesn't sound much but definitely feels a good bit bigger

I have never seen them listed anywhere but they are just a cable with a diode or resistor in line on one of the wires I'll have to check what it is but try soarsky they have loads of parts listed
