Might want to topoff the coolant tank
Sure did. But this video was almost 4 years ago.
I know this is random but i Have question Andrew , i watched your video to clean out /replace my nevian flow sensor . I followed instructions but now my flow sensor is leaking out the bottom ? I did replace the o ring , but maybe i used the wrong size or should i be using a regular rubber washer on that part ? I do have the pipe clip on , but it’s still seeping out ? Any suggestions ? I only rinsed the old one out and put that back on. My new one won’t be here for another week . Thought it would hold out until then . 🫤
I can only offer you my opinion but I would look for a crack in it, it could be worn out or not put back correctly. The new one has to be the exact size or it won’t fit correctly. I replaced mine a year or two prior buy i ordered the whole O-Ring kit for mine. They were all labeled and was easy to get the correct one. Andrew
Toy
Totally agree but it’s fun… and handy 😊
Next time you gotta change the passenger's headlight. Just move the coolant overflow over more. You can just lift it right up and you get your hand in there a lot easier.
Great design and I have enjoyed the series. While I believe I have all of the measurements down, what is the size of the hole in the middle of the walking suspension and the back of the main frame to mount the bed(along with what size pipe you used for the project. I get that there should be a 1/4 inch over hand as a welding base for stability but was looking for the hole sizes, hardware you used and the pipe size. I apologize in advance if that was either in the drawing in the first video or if you mentioned it somewhere in the series and I am just missing it. Thanks again for sharing, I am going to give it a go and share picture when complete. I will get my welding practice in for sure. :) Great channel
Hi Kenneth, Part 9 has most of the dimensions. Thanks for watching and commenting! Andrew
Always on the ribs... especially in cold climate.... ice is a killer.
It's a sweet saw super powerful can't stall it out
I really like it and it’s a good size for my wife to use. She doesn’t have to learn how to start my Stihl now! 😊
@LivingtheNorthernLife or have it sitting there running while wearing hearing protection lol. I throw mine in the back of the sxs cuts down anything on the trail
Nice work Andrew. Great work my friend
Thanks Keith! It was a lot of fun and I really-learned lots again. Next build will be a little bit bigger! 😳
Cual es la medida de las llantas ??
How does it go with a better chain. Say Full chisel in 3/8p .43 stihl or other. Even just regular exl picco or 63rm Extreme might be a drive sprocket swap to 1/4 maybe??
We bought this a couple months ago and everything is out of the box. I love my Stihl 290 but I'm just showing how powerful it is. I bought this for my wife so she can use it. I do like it though and it's easy to use and operate. I'm going to leave it stock so that my wife can use it and I will use it to mark lengths on my trees. I released a video a few weeks ago about it: kzread.infoRF9dmSbcGiA Andrew
Yeah and look at all those batteries you have to have to do all that cutting. And if you dont have extra batteries you will be sitting waiting to charge that single battery. also another thing what happens to the battery when it can npt be used anymore they can jot recycle it and the battery is far more hazardous to the environment. stick with gas power it has been proven to do a better job for many year . you people think switching to batteries is better, think again.
You obviously don't know me and that's ok. I love my Stihl 290 but I'm just showing how powerful it is. I bought this for my wife so she can use it. I'm not apart of the "you people" movement. I know better than most how bad mining for the materials to make batteries is. I do like it though and it's easy to use and operate. Thanks for commenting and I agree with you on it. Andrew
I agree with the above on several tools yes - BUT I own quite a few Metabo Battery tools now - and they work great! Lawnmower - takes 2x 18V Batteries. Batteried have a 3 year warranty - mower 5 years warranty! I use two 10Ah 18V Batteried which let's me mow about 500m² - 600m² with one charge - then I switch to 2x 5,2Ah Batteries. I have a dual-quick-chargers. Puts out 8A on both ports - so the 5,2Ah re-charge in under an hour - the 10Ah Batteries take about 1:20 - 1:30. Considering I mow for 40 - 50min. with one set of 10Ah... I own 4x 10Ah and 4x 5,2 Ah Metabo Batteries. 4x 5,2s came with rhe mower. use one set - and while you mow - charge the other set - will give you almost unlimited run-time... I have the 18V LTX 11-125 angle grinder. It cuts ceramic tiles, stainless steel and even stones quite easily and has the power of a 1100W corded tool. Runs through batteries like crazy though.... Now we come to price! I pay 23,1 Cents per KiloWatthour Charging BOTH 10Ah batteries full takes about 480W - so half a kWh - let us assume I need all 4 of the 10Ah Batteries every time I mow my lawn - about 30x in one season! So it costs me 23 Cents each time! 6,90€ for the whole season!! I owned a gas powered mower before! Would take 1,5l of gas per mowing... 30x 1,5l = 45l. One l of gas is 1,80€ at the moment give or take a few cents... 81€! per season! so I pay roughly 11 times less using the battery-electric mower! NO oil changes, NO yearly inspection of the motor - NO new sparkplugs etc. So as I said - with certain tools it IS worth it! As a car I love my Diesel and will continue driving it till it dies on me!
How do use my farm boss
What kinda farm do you have? I might know how to use it.
Their tools suck
We have really liked all of the tools we own from Milwaukee. Which ones do you think are better? Festool's are too expensive for me. Andrew
@@LivingtheNorthernLife Use them frequent and they will not last. We used their grinders and all my welders stopped using them. Uncomfortable junk
@nottachance31 yeah ok lol I've been usuing milwaukee since 2008 never had 1 issue and they do last
There went your credibility.

Still 's BGA 26 is cheaper and better.
I don't have any Stihl's battery platform which is why I bought this one. I do run Stihl chainsawas and love'em that's for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting! Andrew
That's a saw, not a hatched.. Except for the name it seems pretty dees
Ya I really like it and agree with you on the naming issue. Andrew
that's a chainsaw... not a hatchet!!!!
Ya I agree with you on the naming issue. Andrew
Sure it works but don't you think a 16-inch 2-stroke chainsaw would cut it better
Yup! I run an old Stihl 290 and love it. I bought this so that my wife can cut little stuff up for the firepit and I'm also gonna use it to mark the lengths of the logs I want to cut. It's easy to hold and measuring tape in one hand and the Milwaukee in the other instead of a pencil or marker. Here is a link to a Short we released a few weeks ago on that: kzread.infoRF9dmSbcGiA Thanks for watching and commenting. Andrew
I thought it was a grinder instead of a saw that would be way better
I've seen people putting little blush cutting blades on griders but that seems really dangerous and I like my fingers where they are :) Andrew
Did you have really hard steering before you replaced it
We're not professionals but we had a line that popped and was leaking fluid everywhere. The power steering wouldn't work at all and it felt almost impossible to turn the wheels. There is a steering shaft in there that can cause it to feel similar as the knuckels seize up but it gets hard to steer and then releases and feels jerky to steer. Or you could be low on fluid. Not sure that helps. Andrew
This totally showed up one year late didn’t it? Lol
Ya this was from last year and we did get our temperature wood drying shed built.
Right on!!!! Can’t wait to see what you build 😊
Lots going on for sure! Definitely not getting as much done as I was hoping to. Watching to see what you’re up to. Good to see you pushing forward!
$16.00 Ferguson your buddy charged you a lot for your part
It was shipped to my house and Canadian.
What happened if the tip of that sensor is broken. How do you get it out of there? I’m not for sure if it’s in there cause I don’t have a little camera to look in there.
We're not mechanics so you might want to talk to one before proceeding. I would assum that the point might be below the exhaust valves and may have dropped down into the cats but I wouldn't really know to be honest. Not sure that helps but that's the best I could offer. Andrew
We have a 84 acres homestead
We don’t live there yet but that is the goal in a couple years. Andrew
@@LivingtheNorthernLife we started 7 years ago. And we lived 3 years without hydro. Running water or hot water
@@Johnrider1234 you're on the Island aren't you?
Good morning, we have similar things happening on our property, including the spring mud. Smart use of the mini.
The mud is sooooooo fun 🤦♂️ Causing some delays but not terrible. The little mini is going to be an awesome tool for us. It’s a lot more powerful than I thought it would be. Andrew
Thank you!
Thank you for watching and commenting! Hope it helped you out! Andrew
I got the m18 with the 16 inch bar, it's now the car chainsaw.
If the bigger saw is anything like this one I’m gonna have to get new one… The best parts are no pulling, no gas and oil smells and WAY less noise. Andrew
Do you need tile leveling systems and wedges,we hope you can contact me. we specialize in this field for dozen years, with the strength of,with good quality and pretty competitive price.we are the manufacturer,we can cooperate if possible.
Make sure the vapor barrier is sealed around your bolts. The doors will leak.
Thanks for the reminder! Andrew

Thank you but I'm not going to be building more showers anytime soon. I might be redoing my kitchen floor soon though. Andrew
Hello,Andrew.we are the tile leveling systems and wedges manufacturer,we can cooperate if possible.
Your teaching video is very good, and if you need, we can send you some samples for free.
I can see I'm in for a whole lot of fun tomorrow...
Try unplugging the cable before removing the bulb.
No hot dogs or marshmallows? Shame to waste an opportunity!
It would have been good for that but I don't normally eat lunch while I'm working on the property accept when my wife is there with me. :)
That’s Awesome! Have a lovely weekend!🥂❤️✨
Thank you! You too! Andrew
Nice clean work.
Wait till i start tiling… 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️ I didn’t work as clean as I thought I did that’s for sure. Thanks for watching and commenting! Andrew
I've seen welders take a new stick for every weld, sometimes five inch waste. I m more like you if it has flux on it i will burn it to the end.
Ya I don’t have that kinda cash to throw around. Hope you enjoy the video! Andrew
I’ll have to make it out there soon Andrew
Sounds good to me!
Did you have to flush the entire Coolant?
I didn’t. I couldn’t turn the petcock drain valve in the radiator so i put a container under it and separated the line. The container caught the coolant and I replaced the part. Replaced it with new coolant from Ford. Andrew
Thank you for this video...while I couldn't get the reservoir out of the way, this video gave me hope to keep going on changing the bulb without moving the reservoir and I was eventually successful! 😂 Curious as to Ford's reasoning in putting such short wires on that side...that was the main hindrance. Ugh.
Glad it helped. Copper is expensive I guess cause that's bonkers :( Andrew
The wire on the passenger side literally isn't even long enough to pull it out of the opening...brutal!!
It is absolutely terrible. A workaround is to disconnect the cable and then pull the bulb out. Andrew
O yes crqcking job u legend top top job 😊
Thank you sir! Hope all is well at your end! Andrew
I made this cart from your specs. It turned out great except I had to add a sleeve attachment to the reciprocating arm. It got worn fairly quickly with continued use. No big deal.
The trailer is amazing! Everything spring I pull the bolts out and grease them. So far they’ve been holding up. I totally agree that bushings would be better though.
I'm not helping no one do their job and I'm not getting paid
understandable
So flashing your high beams at a drunk driver is going to make him sober up & drive safely?
would be a nice thought... I was telling people to slowdown behind me just yesterday as I had a cruiser driving slowly behind me. Andrew
Flash the high beams every time. Been saved by someone 2x this month. I understand the impaired driver, but I was just trying to get home from work and I sure did appreciate the heads up 😅
I could have used that a few years ago myself (facepalm) Thanks Josh! Andrew
"what a pain" is the understatement of the year. What were the engineers thinking with that passenger side?
Totally agree!
@@LivingtheNorthernLife the cross member on the driver's side is too close to easily fit the rubber cap back on too. Cabin air filter is in a stupid spot as well. I love Ford's but Jesus Christ the engineers of the escape don't return that love 😂
I did my passenger side low beam replacement today...what a pain in the (_!_). I'd like to meet the person that signed off on this design and bit*h slap him. 2 problems to over come...the short wiring on that side of the car and the super tight mounting of the coolant jug. After spending about 2 hours total (3 different attempts), I finall was successful by the following: 1. use heat (hair blow dryer in my case). Heat up that rear plastic mount on the coolant jug to make it pliant and possible to just yank off with brute strength. Then pull up on the front mount, done. 2. unclip wiring from bulb before you twist and pull the light out. 3. Insert new light without trying to plug in that ridiculously short pigtail. After bulb in inserted, then use the smallest hand you got and struggle to attach the electrical plug. Congrats!! Now hope it does not burn out again until you sell it or you die, whichever occurs first.
We've had to change our passenger side three times now since posting this video. Just the passenger side so there's more going on. If you search Google you will find that the passenger side bulb going out on the Escape is a frequent thing. Thanks for watching and commenting! Andrew
Thanks for making this video! I’ve always relied on my dad for car stuff and now that I’m living away from home I wanted to learn how to do the car stuff on my own. Did it under 10min with ease! 🥳🥳
Thank you for the kind words. We’re so glad that it was a good help for you. Keep up the good work! Andrew
Exciting projects coming up Andrew! Hope the summer goes well!
MARK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Me too! Still working slowly in the background here getting ready to pull some more logs out so we can get started right as soon as we can. Hopping over to peak at what you've been up to! :) Andrew
Get posting some new stuff! Do you still ahve the allotment or have you been acting too much?
lol, I will one day ! Yes, the allotment is thriving and haven’t had much Extra work since the actors and writers strike! Take care mate!
DO NOT use aftermarket thermostat on this engine Overheat!!!!!
So mine has been running for 2 years now. When should I expect it to overheat?
