  That's very interesting. If I need to get to Liverpool I'll just do a rail and sail and skip the sail haha. Rail tickets are completely overpriced. It literally costs me more to get the train to see my mother in Devon from Yorkshire than it does for me to get on a flight to Málaga in Spain. I think to get a train from one side of the country to another it shouldn't cost any more than thirty or forty pounds but nowadays you're talking at least double that even if you buy a travel pass, the trains themselves are usually disgusting too. Cramped, awful toilets, usually late, if you're disabled you're basically screwed, only thing I can say is the staff are usually nice and I've had some nics conversations with passengers but that's about it. Making the best of a bad situation while trying not to feel completely ripped off. At least they let you drink and sell alcohol but using trains in Britain would drive the best of us to drink haha

  My mothers tribe resides on the Bad River Band Rez in Wisconsin. Her particular descendants fought with the British during the seven year war but did not fight with Pontiac afterwards during the pan indian uprising. The Northern Tribes were very active in military and political campaigns. They also fought each other quite often over land and trade. The Ojibwas drove off the Iriquois who were encroaching to take over the fur trade. They constantly wared with the Dakota up until the later part of the 19th century.

  Just untrue… many tribes fought in both sides. Meaning not all native tribes actually had similar goals many just wanted to war with each other. Yes it’s shocking oh wow! Please research before you speak on. You just look ignorant..

  Not true at all. America wasn’t the country it is now. We had 13 original colonies and people wanted to settle the west as they were hearing stories of rich land for farming and then the gold and silver rumors started happening. Prospectors and trappers were the first to venture out into the west. Once it was established that there were huge deposits of gold and silver to be mined the government go interested. People knew Indians were a threat so civilians were tricked into settling the west. They were given free land if they made the journey to the west and once settled they hoped Indians would attack civilians. They also blatantly sent people into Indian territory in the hopes they would have justification to attack them and eventually put them on reservations. It worked and as word spread of scalpings and attacks the army was sent out and that is how the American Indian war started. Chiefs refused to accept peace with the Americans because they saw it as a blatant invasion of their territory.
