I am not sure what to get from this … hopefully it is fun for the musicians to play.
A beautiful performance of this Copeland work with a very small ensemble. I've never heard it played better. Thank you for sharing.
I revisit this performance repeatedly and it's better every time!! Wonderful musicianship!!
Wonderful performance. @theconradprebys perhaps you could consider changing settings for this video so the music is not constantly interrupted by ads?
Pure Copland, pure Americana. So much said with the simplest of harmonies. What an amazing performance.
I agree...This is absolutely mesmerising and uniquely brilliant. In the 3rd movement ther cello players face as he grins almost like he's keeping on as he knows the end is close like the players on the titanic or the 51st battalion' By the 4th movement you are practically snake-charmed so much by the billions of beautiful descents that your peristalsis almost starts working in reverse. This is so lyrical and memorable and yet still challenging and hold in you're attention for the entire piece. Wow. Im amazed im still so amazed by a piece of music and how its can give me feelings or paint pictures that I can barley imagine myself. Thanks to all involved in bring this to us!
The physical demands of this piece are quite high and is a testament to McGills skill 2:42
magnificent
Very disappointed by those who uploaded it not knowing how to cue YouiTube as to appropriate times to insert commercials. Right in the middle of major phrases! Shame on you.
thats why you use an ad blocker :)
@@pemerold7390 Already use one. KZread still wrenches control.
Fantastic rendition❤, everything is excellent. Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤
This chamber performance is a revelation. Like the original string sextet version of Schoenberg's "Transfigured Night". Beautiful, intimate, expert playing from the heart. Stunningly well microphoned too. Is there anything you gals and guys at La Jolla Music Society don't do to perfection? 🤣🥰😘 Thank you with much love, Andréa
Excellent. You added an additional player. Copland, in his 1973 recording, added two extra violins to make their sound more robust.
A well performed piece of a rather difficult work. Thanks for sharing

What a lovely rendition! Thanks for sharing! Wishes for a blessed Easter!
Very well played!
I find Ades to be a wildly uneven composer. This is one of his better efforts.
so awesome
para mí, la mejor versión de este bello trío.

Divine!
What a shiny mute, looks like it has diamonds on it, awesome :D
To top beautiful, keep on great work like this please.
Nice--but she certainly could have chosen a more appropriate apparel!
Are we… in 1645????
I've been waiting for the day when men appear on stage with a tuxedo modified to allow them bare shoulders.
SUMMERfest in CALIFORNIA. She's obviously the most appropriately dressed performer.
Great job 👏
Brahms always is always a bop. Clive is also the GOAT of chamber music. Studied his masterclasses with Tortelier when I was in school. And his time with Tokyo String Quartet and even got a chance to have a few masterclasses with them. Truly a blessing. Thank you for the recording.
Excelentes, magistral ejecución, belleza...
absolutely beautiful
What an exhilarating performance. The musicians gave it their all.
Superbe ! Merci !
Bravo!!! 👏👏👏
Bravo!!! Very touching performance by Elliot ❤🎉
Thank you for the video !
Wonderful! Let's stay in touch.
Bravo!!!
Beautiful playing. The cellist in particular is incredible. She has such a sensitive quality to her playing and has a beautifully refined and touching tone. The way she phrases is also so natural and serves the music perfectly while still retaining her own distinct voice and personality. Truly amazing. I hope to see much more of this wonderful musician.
All good except the video picture brightness was low (dim light in the hall, technical?). Others' experience? By the way, I can recommend the movie "Coco Chanel & Igor Stravinsky" R 2009 ‧ Romance/Drama ‧ 1h 59m as an incredible filmic re-enactment of the Rite of Spring first musical and ballet performance, with riot.
Thank you Inon for a lovely performance of one of my favorite pieces... I've always felt the second movement is the most poignant love song, as it says over and over "Ich liebe dich", and even, in some phrases, "oh ja, ich liebe dich"... I haven't counted how many key changes there are in it, but they keep coming and make it so eloquent... you played it so well... thank you!
That was phenomenal! Wow.
Thank you, La Jolla Music Society for the the series of performances from SummerFest 22 concerts. Wonderful presentation!
Sublime👏!
great artists make the complex look simple and viceversa 👏👏👏
RIP Geoff Nuttall. Thank you for the music.
