    Would love to see Laranity's reaction to the "A skit about the Exarch reveal scene from SHB | FFXIV Animated" by BeneG. Find that so funny and always think on it when seeing the scene in this video. Its a parody of the same scene :D Dont want to post a direct link to just search for the name of the video on youtube :D

    The beat drop for Endcaller is still one of the peak moments in gaming. So much buildup, over years of playing, to peak in those opening notes as Zodiark is revealed.

    Anyone else think that Y'shtola finishing her tea was just to give G'raha a chance to jump into the action instead? Just the way she looked at em like 'well, go on then'. Idk it's not important, but I just love little moments like that.

    Both Shadowbringers and Endwalker have so many cool twists and special moments that are so much fun to watch people react to. Endwalker is easily the most ambitious of the expansions in XIV and it's amazing how well it pulls off what it's set out to do. Hopefully you'll enjoy it all the way through!

    I think Zenos walking by was a nod to the scene in Shadowbringers when Elidibert walked past the Exarch attempting to get that sneaky instakill attack. And failed. You're sitting there wondering if Zenos will try something similar. But no; such methods are beneath him. He will face you head on in a direct confrontation, when he - and only he - has your attention. Otherwise he simply can't be bothered.

  • @geekwars3998

    I think Zenos' role in Endwalker, albeit minor, still contributes to the message this expansion is trying to deliver: to live is to suffer, yes. Nihilism is not completely without reason. But while embracing death is one path, another is to embrace the suffering that comes with living and find joy wherever we can. That joy will be that much greater for the suffering we endure to achieve it and will be worth all the pain in the end, no matter how short lived or fleeting said joy may be. In this context, Zenos represents your apathetic counterpart, the one who lost all interest in living, who finds existence itself to be unbearably dull and devoid of meaning or happiness. Yet, even said apathetic counterpart still managed to find their own reason to exist and their own form happiness in you, the one who brings them excitement, makes them look forward to the next day, and rekindles the flame of their existence. He's a walking, breathing representation of the "to each their own" notion. But though happiness and fulfillment can come in many shapes and forms, it should not trample all over other people's own happiness. That is why Zenos' pursuit, while understandable, remains unconscionable. It is why he had to be stopped. Ironically, stopping him is one way we may yet bring him his own fleeting moment of happiness, and that is what he wanted all along. I think the fact that Zenos was always built as this individual who cares so little for being alive made him a perfect fit as a foil character in Endwalker. No matter how much I personally dislike him and would've preferred not having him at all in this expansion, I can't deny that he just _fits_ with its theme and that this is the right place for his character arc to finally conclude.

    Yes. This is the moment in EW when you realize you have no clue where you're headed. You thought maybe Zodiark was the end boss. Nope. We're killing him NOW! So what are we doing for the rest of the expansion?? Continue. (Yes, he was Amon, remember...) Emperor Xande = of Allagan. Also seen in Crystal Tower. And the last note: Fandaniel/Amon knew what caused the Final Days. You will find out in due course. Patience.

    Three thoughts. I absolutely love Lyna. I thinks she's one of the best side characters in the game. Her Islandic accent and her incredible voice reads just get me! She is an incredible combination of strength and feminity that's just believable. (full disclosure, I'm a Dad and Lyna reminds me of one of my daughters). Shows everyone, especially crappy writers, that female characters don't has to be all 'girlboss' to be strong and leaders without loosing what makes them incredibly powerful Women, their empathy and feminity. Her relationship with G'raha as an adopted daughter works so well. And did I mention her line reads, freaking amazing! Also, love Elidibus. His VA is also incredible and his story of a Man that, due to the sheer amount of time he has dedicated his everything to his duty, shows you how it can just wear out the mind. I remember what dementia did to my Grandpa and its sad, it's always sad. Lasty is just an answer to a question you asked, "Doesn't his Soul have to go too"? No. He has his younger Soul already back in our times Crystal Tower. G'Raha specifically says "his Mind & Memories shall travel with you". Young Soul, Old Mind. Might make a great combo, who knows? =)

    Yeah, any player who has seen 6.0+ can't help but to have this huge grin when somebody starts EW because _they know_ what happens, and it's hard to not have this huge SEG at the innocent youtuber throwing out random theories, some of them good, some of them way off kilter, and we just can't wait to see their face when they find out what happens. I prefer not to watch live, though... I prefer to find youtubers who have already completed the whole thing so I can watch it start to finish and not have to wait lol. But, still, it's nice to find another youtuber doing Endwalker who's pleasant to listen to, and isn't constantly goofing off on stream, dressing their WoL up in a clown costume, or constantly talking on voice calls with 5 other people, talking about random crap and not even paying attention to the game, etc.

    @2:00 the 2nd dialogue option... back in the day, a *LOT* of players were immediately distrustful of Hydaelyn after that cutscene in the Qitana Ravel where Emet lore-bombs his claim that Hydaelyn is a primal and everybody was like **LE GASP** "We're all tempered!! we can't trust her!" .. I think the devs saw such discussions and added that dialogue option in as a result. Also, do remember Hydaelyn's words here, they will be relevant later.

    2:42 --- "Good primals" ... I mean, Ramuh was kind of a "good primal", right? He was created to protect his children, the sylphs, and didnt desire war or aggression - and we and the Gridanians would've left him be if he hadnt challenged us to prove our worth. He was summoned around the time of our lvl30ish MSQ, and we killed him way into the post ARR quests at lvl 50. He was a "good" primal with a sense of self and of his surrounding. At least we can say, Hydaelyn has the same projection (?) of whats going on and has that sense of self.

  • @Norbert_Sattler
    @Norbert_Sattler5 ай бұрын

    And yet, despite being a "good primal" he still ended up tempering Sylphs, to the point that they became so fanatical, they went on the warpath, in spite of all his fairness and all...

  • @Dhalin
    @Dhalin5 ай бұрын

    @@Norbert_Sattler They explained this somewhere in the game, I forget where. I hope this is not spoilers for anybody, but somewhere they tell you that the summoning rituals the Ascians gave the beast tribes included the Tempering mechanic as part of the spell, to make it so that summoning one would do as much damage as possible to push the world towards another calamity. Any being, despite any benevolence, is going to temper the summoner and any followers by default. The fact Ramuh tempers the sylphs who worship him has nothing to do with him being good or evil, and all primals who are summoned embody the wishes of those who summon them. It could be theoretically possible to summon an evil Ramuh, or even a good Leviathan, if the sahagin who summoned him did so with good intentions. The reason the primals that were summoned were evil, is because the beastmen were filled with desperation and hate for the cities and the people living there. The Sylphs, on the other hand, are mostly gentle creatures who just wanted protection, and didn't want to conquer or get revenge, they just wanted their own slice of the forest until the Garleans started stirring them up, which is why you have to go in and deal with Ramuh in the lv50 quests.

  • @markup6394
    @markup63945 ай бұрын

    @@Norbert_Sattler Thats the nature of primals and not really something he could control. Also, no, the tempered sylphs didnt went on a warpath. They stuck to their territory and though they desired to integrate other sylphs to the fold, they never attacked Little Solace.

  • @Norbert_Sattler
    @Norbert_Sattler5 ай бұрын

    @@markup6394 Exactly my point, as a primal, Hydaelyn might not be in full control over her own actions. She might be beholden to what she was created for... or what new worshippers might have changed her into after her creation.
