    So, about 2-3 years ago, I discovered the beautiful and amazing moissanite stone. Prior to, I had never even heard of moissanite before. Then, i was able to get my hands on one. Ahhh, man, I was completely mesmerized by how beautiful the stone was...I havnt owned many diamonds in quite a while, but after seeing moissanites, i honestly dont really have the urge to. I'd rather have the moissanite over diamonds... They are so beautiful, the fire they have is out of this world, the hardness is top notch just as a diamond, and then the fact that tbey are a fraction of the cost.....im sold!!! Now, I have many pieces that are moissanite, and I ALWAYS get compliments on my jewlery wherever i go, and of course, that would make anyone feel great

    To see the fluorescence in a diamond, use a black light and the diamond will glow blue color if it has fluorescence. As for the cut of the diamond, can you explain more about your question as I am not understanding the question.

    Thats was easy. I just took my ring in today. They say oh a week and 1/2 then as i walk away early next week. Today is Friday. They didnt look to busy. I thought this is how its done. How do you solder it? Very hot torch and with what sterling silver ?

  • @AmbrosiaJewelry
    @AmbrosiaJewelry6 ай бұрын

    Usually a jewelry store needs more time as there are multiple jobs in the works. Before a ring is resized, it has to be fully cleaned which can take a day or two depending on the amount of dirt and grim. Then it takes a few steps to clean, polish and file a ring after it is sized. Yes, we use a torch to size gold and silver jewelry. Thanks for watching! This is an old video and I need to make more how to's!

    Great advice in picking a diamond, however, to me starting at the letter "I" in color and further down the color scale I would go with medium fluorescence instead of faint as faint does not make much of a difference in what I have seen. My daughter's engagement ring is an "I" and when I first saw it I thought it was an F or G. I asked her fiance what the color was and he said it was an "I" which floored me. I asked if there was fluorescence in the diamond and he said there was medium. That along with the diamond being round with triple Ex grading, the diamond is absolutely gorgeous and you really don't see much blue to even notice in the sunlight like you would with strong fluorescence. Once you get to "M" strong fluorescence would work. H is good for faint and G as well as it will not have enough florescence to make the diamond milky and you get a better price. Just my two cents :)

  • @AmbrosiaJewelry
    @AmbrosiaJewelry Жыл бұрын

    Yes, the stronger the fluorescence, the more the diamond will have a milky appearance. We recommend visually inspecting and seeing a diamond in person as they can look different than their report says.

    Is it bad for a lab diamond to have noted that it’s faintly blue? I heard a lot of negative comments about it but, I am quite drawn to the slight blue color. It’s like you have a piece of the sky on your finger. And what color band would look good with it? Yellow or white gold?

  • @AmbrosiaJewelry
    @AmbrosiaJewelry Жыл бұрын

    Absolutely not! It is more of a personal preference. We have worked with numerous diamonds with a faint blue fluorescent which offset the natural yellow color of the diamond- resulting in a whiter diamond. Blue stones look great in both gold colors. With a faint blue, I recommend white gold to show off more of the blue color. Contact us to schedule a design consultation to create the perfect ring.

    It is not accurate to say all jewelers are liars. I know many jewelers who have a good heart and also educate their clients about gold, gems and diamonds. Many consumers have not taken the educational classes we have, so we try to educate them in only a few minutes, which has taken us years to learn. Based on one experience, a person should not limit their thinking by claiming one restaurant chain's food is horrible at every location, all mechanics take advantage of you, or all money managers are crooks. Yes, it is sad to have one bad apple ruin it for everyone else, but I hope you take the opportunity to work with a jeweler who has a good reputation with their clients.
