There is a far easier and faster method .. there is a script on github to do it all automatically, did not have the link right now but should be easy to find
The video is way too long
I just wrote mine today and failed 😢 Me thinking 1 month+ will be enough to prepare after I aced az900…. Right in the middle of my preparation, I got my dream job. I got derailed because I had to integrate and learn new tools for the job.. I postponed the exam by two weeks thinking I will be able cover up.. I used Scott Duffy(udemy) and 80% of the Microsoft learn.. Exam questions on KZread are all scams.. The questions are super lengthy and just 1hr40mins is all got.. I just feel like sh*t right now.. But thanks for the video. A lot of these KZreadr don’t document their failure ( the process) just when they only succeed.. Respect 🫡
Did you create your own von solution like pivpn or you using one of the popular providers like nord, etc…?
I enjoyed your video! You said they only took 18 of your credits from community college? May I ask what degree? That seems really low for a transfer.
Thanks @Jafodil. I did an Associate in IT, but that was a while ago. Most of the classes i took do not apply to the degree i want to get now, but it all good. I guess it's a good way for me to refresh my memory on things.
@@KoromaTech thank you. I look forward to your updates!
Was stuck on trying to get this so I can create a lab to study for my Cysa+. Worked like a charm. Amazing tutorial
Great to hear that and glad it was helpful to you!
Don't install proxmox on the single SSD drive, if the SSD needs replacement then you will get into trouble. Use RAID for proxmox and storage. You can use software RAID such as zfs or hardware RAID. People like the software RAID because it really does the job. But if you have hardware RAID, then use it and be sure you have a spare RAID controller the exact same thing in case your RAID controller didn't work in the future.
This is good info! Thanks for sharing and I'm sure it will be helpful to others as well!
So, you mentioned multiple times how there are no usb ports on the back. There are two, and are visible even in the video at 4:38 when you are showing us that there arent any. Look to the left of your network cable. I have the same r720 and this is where i have my mouse and keyboard plugged in. I use the front for flash drives and such.
Hi @Carpesimia, Thanks for the input, and you're correct, I missed that part in the video.
Should I get Server+ before Linux+?, I only have the CCNA cert, and I'm not going for the CompTIA +A or Network +
I will say get your Linux+ first. The Server+ is a good to have, but I will not put it in front of the Linux+.
@@KoromaTech thank you!! really helpful
@@KoromaTech am reading the book Basic Linux for Hackers and making the hackthebox Linux fundamentals, before starting CompTIA Linux +
What do I do if my iDRAC and Lifecycle Controller doesn't work, there are no videos or info on it!?
Hi, what issue are you running into.
@@KoromaTech My iDRAC and lifecycle controller don't work
Great and helpful video ! Would you be able to send the link for the Wireless Cisco device, please?🙏
Hi, i got everything from the link in the description.
Amazing. Thanks dude
Thanks. 🙏🏾
I'm wondering if I can connect the iDrac port to my laptop to manage it from there?
Hi, you should be able to connect with any device as long as it’s on the same network.
yeah at this point me getting a cert feels useless if i dont put hands on into it
100%…That is not to say you should stop educating yourself in that regards. I think a good balance is the way to go.
Interesting video - I am installing a similar setup with a small SSD drive and Raid setup for data. Out of curiosity, what did you format your raid data disks as - have read ZFS should be avoided as it likes to act like a software raid and "self heal" and as such doesn't like to sit on top of hardware raid and can easily corrupt.
Dude this is fuckin AMAZING! I do this purely for fun and utility as a home server so I don't know a whole lot about this stuff. I didn't even know what iDRAC was after having my R720 for about a month. I was ready to buy a KVM console cause I was so tired of unbolting my monitor, moving everything to the server and working with a janky setup any time I needed to get into the bios or boot options. So you can imagine my excitement when I just searched iDRAC out of curiosity and found this. Currently watching my machine boot up through the virtual console, amazing. Thank god I looked this up before spending hundreds of dollars on a shitty screen and keyboard haha. And as a note, I was able to just set it up on the front LCD of the server, didn't even have to go into the bios.
Glad to hear that! Stay tuned for more labs and topics coming up!
Hi, You kept saying “I don’t have anything to take away from …”. That actually means that the material was bad and you didn’t learn anything from it. I was confused if that’s what you meant because you were also praising it and saying positive things about it. 🙏🏾❤️
I totally understand. I will try to word things differently next time. The point i was trying to make is that it's not a bad but it will not be my first choice, but i can see how the way i said it can be confusing.
Nice! Thanks for video!
Very good projects you are doing … keep them coming
Thanks. 🙏🏾 Sure will!
Great tutorial my friend.. Im brazilian.. Great video... One tip... in proxmox 8.1 version, when you create VM not using any ISO image, automatically in directory /var/lib/vz/image/VMID create one disk vm-ID-disk-0.qcow2.. in your tutorial your proxmox version not create..I did it this way... I downloaded metasploitable with wget, unzip, converted it to qcow2 and sent it to the /var/lib/vz/images/VMID directory with the same name as the automatically created vm vm-111-disk-0.qcow2 .. In this case there is no need to edit the .conf file.. -)
Thanks for the tip sir. Much appreciated. 🙏🏾
Excelent video my friend !!
Thanks. I hope it was helpful in some way. 😊
Important note for getting this setup to work. If you get the error: "storage 'local' does not support content-type 'images'", you must enable images in the settings for your local storage. Go to Datacenter>Storage>local and make sure "Disk Images" is enabled on the Content dropdown menu.
Excellent video, your African and African-American accent rocks ...Dude, so no big deal. I enjoyed your tutorial and its immensely beneficial. Nonetheless, considering I have Dell PowerEdge R720, I have couple of quick inquiries. 1. Shall I make all eight SATA 3.5 Inch hard disk bays as one large virtual logical volume (under RAID 10) and keep my Linux (Red Hat, Ubuntu, Debian) plugged up with SATA Dock Mount Station through internal USB port ...pulling the wire through the back ... 2. Would I am be able to utilize all my 8 disk bays (combing roughly 4 TB, 500 GiB in each bay * 8 = 8 TB roughly) as one large virtual disk as data disk? Best!
Really Nice simple and easy to understand. Excellent
Thanks. 🙏🏾 ❤
I think the link for wget is broken.
Also, I get this error: storage 'local' does not support content-type 'images'
Hi, sorry for the delay response. I’m not sure of what this issue could be, but it sounds like you might need to make some changes to the storage so it supports “Images.”
@@KoromaTech All good now, thanks!
Thanks, It worked
You’re very much welcome.
What an awful video
May I ask why? I will love to know so I can try to do better next time. Thanks.
VMware recently revealed changes in how VMware products will be licensed and sold, consolidating offerings into two basic bundles. Sending a big hug to you and everyone you love! A very jolly Christmas and New Year to you!🎉🎉🎉❤
Yeah, I head about the license change. I like the perpetual license, 😔 but Broadcom has to make their money back so I understand it. Very jolly Christmas and happy holidays to you and yours too. 🎉🎉❤️

I have to admit that I was a bit arrogant regarding the MS-900 test, thinking it is easy to pass. The more I have studied the topics, the clearer I now see that this test is actually very hard. You should be knowledgeable about so many applications and have to know some very detailed information (Is this feature part of E3 or E5 plans, for instance). What are your tips for remembering these super-small details? In my opinion, the MS-900 is harder than AZ-900.
In all honesty, it just took a lot of grinding and memorizing the small details but sometimes just keeping at it and practicing a lot does the trick!
how did you get a iDRAC key
It came with the server.
You have two usb ports at the back next to the four port nic.
I sure do. That was a mistake on my part.
