Warning about pawpaws, they contain an a type of alkaloid that can make you feel nauseous if you’re not used to it. So don’t eat to many of them if you have never eaten them before
I like your technique.
Had a bunch in the yard last year that I ate. I thought they were pretty good, perhaps shy of choice.
Thank you, very informative
I tried to find the app on play store but it's not there. Also, on Google, it won't connect it only shows bad gateway error 502 code. Thought you would want to know. Thanks Karen
I foresee videos like this resurfacing all because of Dungeon Meshi
What if you dehydrated the deer mushroom and made a powder. Could you add it to food to get nutrition
Are you not reactive to poison ivy? Geez....
I think that is a false morel

We picked those after WW2 were we lived in wooden baracks, left by the English Army. That was Antwerp, Belgium.
As of right now, the site is down. "502 Bad Gateway"
never seen someone cut mushrooms like that and then cook and eat with forceps :'D
thank you!
Such an unique, practical, informative, absolutly clear mushroom hunting, harvesting explaining and real yammi cooking. Talented and amazing! Thank you!
The link didn't work.
🌸 I know you have done a lot of vids on mushrooms but can you do vid on associated trees Because I am not familiar with where to find edible mushrooms ✨
Wtf is this 😂😂
A good show.
It is so wild to me that the beginner mushrooms of america differ so much from our beginner mushrooms (mostly boletes)
you are awesome! thank you! subscribed!
Clicked the app address. It went to a bad gateway….. 😐
I’ve picked honey mushrooms for over fifty years, sometimes knocking on peoples doors and asking to harvest them in their yards. The young honeys which we called buttons are especially good. You get them home, trim them, run water over them, and then par boil them. I fry them with peppers and tomatoes. If you find a bumper crop bag them and freeze them.
I am pretty supperised you wore shorts in the forest! Aren't there some mosquitoes in your area?
Thank you for sharing this
The Scaly Hedgehog is NOT Hydnum Repandum for sure! Probably Sarcodon imbricatus!

I’m wondering if the velvet foot/enoki are the same as velvet shank mushrooms. I remember the velvet shank as having a sticky brown cap with a stem that was soft and velvety to the touch. They tasted nutty too. Anyone have any thoughts?
Miss your content, you should come back to us
Excellent and relaxing vlog, thoroughly enjoyable. Thank you. 😊👍🍄
Hi! Great video! Where are you foraging? Also, could you identify the trees you find these on? I have gotten chicken of the woods! And I didn't know about shrimp of the woods.
These are among the very best tasting mushrooms out there, you shrugging them off as unremarkable is offensive!
Just discovered this channel, no videos in 3 years ? I’m surprised, anyone know why ?
Good luck to foragers
what about striations on the stem is that not typical sign of honey mushroom?
Thank you!
Thank you for helping me feel more comfortable trying my honey mushrooms. I have avoided them in year before due to difficulty identifying. I feel more comfortable now.
Drying? You mean freezing 😉
Thank you. I was looking for a video about cooking cattails and this was more than perfect. Excellent video
I have heard that the jack O Lantern glows what about the others :)
First mushroom is not "American" caesar. Real name is Amanita caesarea latin, or english Caesar's mushroom. It grows all over the world
You shouldn't pick mushrooms unless you're going to eat them. Don't pull them out and just throw them on the ground. NO EAT, NO PICK! The old mushrooms have spores in them. As a mushroom decays the spores go into the ground with the decaying mushroom and a new mushrooms pops up! LEAVE THEM THE FUCK ALONE!
Great video, you do a fantastic job of showing what features to look for when IDing these species :)
Breathing puff ball spores is bad for you 😮
Where are you located?
Wonderful video! Thank you for putting this together! 太棒了!
Good video. Thanks. I think I have lots of honey mushrooms on my property
