At A Short History I make short documentary-style videos focusing mainly on the world of military aviation. While I do enjoy making videos on Cold War aircraft, I will do videos on other periods as well.
From time to time, I try to make videos on other topics as well, but usually focused on military history in some form. I always try to respect copyright laws.

I would say it’s still an F-16 variant but it’s a different enough derivative to earn it’s own designation
piece of crap waste of money
AVOID this ROBO-presentation. Garbage.
The Mark 2 did not operate during the war, iirc. It was only the Mark V model that was used for V-1 hunting ( along with other operational aircraft like the Spitfire )
During the 1960s, there was a squadron of A-5 Vigilantes that were assigned to NAS Sanford, Florida (now Sanford-Orlando International Airport). In 2003, a restored RA-5C Vigilante was put on display at the NAS Sanford Memorial Park (at the airport).
1997 before british army force in hong kong Westland Scout ah 1 helicopter
X15 was a glider not a plane..
I was a Crew Chief on T-37's then T38's at Williams AFB AZ for a few years in the early 70's, the T-38 was a great Plane to work on.
IMO, the F16/F2 are the most gorgeous fighter aircraft ever made. Pure aesthetic gold.
Agreed!
Little tike f 16
I’m glad your uploading again
I’m hoping not to take as long for my next video.
The undercarriage was not retractable. It was fixed. Interestingly it had only a battery for electrical power and fuel for about 15 min which made getting it shown to the Farnborough air show a tricky flight. I think I remember that it had balsa wood wing leading edges that could be varied.
Be careful with the intake
It later became a water bomber in the Pacific Northwest. Fighting fires along with B-17s, PBY4-2s , B-24s, L1011s, and helicopters.
Lessons learned from the Battle of the Atlantic in WW2. The longest battle of WW2.
Yeah, absolute gamechanger line of planez
Metalstorm brought me here
I'm sick and tired of all these text to speech aviation history channels. Just speak into a microphone man.
Always liked Su-24 fencer's design over other bombers, but always wondering why they never went for Turbofan engines ? Can you answer please?
The prototype unit was bought by William E. Boeing and used as his personal plane.
Green Cheese Missile ? I did hear that, lol It's a crying shame what happened to the UK by thatcher, I grew up under the flight path of the BAE 146, I remember them flying over my primsry school and then my secondary school
Sad this plane has been lost to history, but hopefully one can be brought back to airworthiness!
I love when the Mitsubishi F-2 is called a copy. This is "basically" a new Jet just with a larger F-16 frame. Its like the Lancia 037 Stradale and Kimera EVO37.
Cool plane👍✈️
The Honeywell E-6 autopilot was developed for the B-50 but cockpit pictures only show the older autopilot - anyone know if it was ever installed in the B-50? (was used in the B-36).
Very nice Thanks 👏
One of the great tragedies of military aviation. I feel for Northup.
Gaijin when?
Great! And now we have white far right covernment opressing the workers even more than then. Thanks Sweden.
The Soviet copied the B-29 Bomber and named it to “Tupolev Tu-4” and that’s Weird
Watch a movie called Bat 21 with Gene Hackman and Danny Glover 🎥

My Dad flew everything from CG-4 gliders to F-4's in Vietnam, but his favorite was the 6
Why wasn’t the Angle of Attack problem picked up in the design and testing stage and fixed before it went to production? They had wind tunnels for just that purpose.
Sweden was NOT neutral in the Winter War. It declared itself "non-belligerent" which made for providing with much of its own military hardware as well as a lot of officially sanctioned volunteers. It was all quite deliberate.
Loudest jet at full power on the flight deck launch off a carrier hands down , Those j-52 turbojets would rattle the fillings out of your head !
I was the proud owner and pilot of an ex Swiss DH100 mk6. I can tell you that it was a wonderful flying aircraft, but quite thirsty at 5 gallons per minute. After 13 years, I sold the craft in 2005, and she is still flying in California.
My father flew Typhoons 175 Sqdr Normandy France 1944, would gladly support both restoration projects.
Interesting content, but not a fan of the AI narration
Before Sputnik, and before the Space Race that eventually led to Americans setting foot on the Moon, the Federal government envisaged humans in space as a relatively minor part of the national defense: first X-15, then Dyna-Soar with increasing capability as boosters became bigger, leading eventually to a manned orbital vehicle able to perform reconnaissance over the Soviet Union and drop bombs on it (Dyna-MOWS).
❤
Okay.
This series was approved by Andrei Gromeyko. Has to be. He actually did not say nyet?
Looks like Jaguar. Is this even conceivable?
What comprised the Soviet strategic heavy bomber threat at this time? UK should have developing all weather strike aircraft instead.
"...the B50 was not widely exported"...was it even exported at all? 🤔...😏
My father, Lt. Col. Ned Dee Colburn, was a pilot 🧑✈️ Takhli Air Force Base in Thailand. November 1967 - December 1968 42nd TEWS. He flew 105 missions even though 103 were required.
Salute and respect to your Dad ✈️🇳🇿
Due to all respects , I'm Thai and thanks for you Dad's sevice during that difficult time. And I send you my condolences about the passing of him.
