Adam walked with God in the "cool of the day". It WAS and IS His intent that man should have a spontaneous relationship with Him through His Spirit, in JUST the same way that we have a relationship with the air we breath and the light that bathes us!

Hi Al, here we have Tony Bennett, the greatest. I recall his saying that Judy Garland was the greatest of the century, something about her being able to ever so slightly slide off a note. Well, think he may have been saying that out of kindness but she was great. Maybe not the greatest in the eyes of the world. Who am I to judge. As for me my heart belongs to Sissel & it goes beyond singing. Speaking of "Smile" I wonder if maybe once in a while Sissel's smile might be covering a hint of sadness & if so I would love her all the more. It might be closer to truth to say a person could smile while engaged in a brown study. In my case, singing or humming sometimes takes me into slightly sad or poignant mood. As concerns smiling, I've done it time out of mind to cover stress & melancholy. Thinking back to Tony Bennett his style is so touching, rich & lovable, all the qualities I find in Sissel. Sissel, in a platonic sense, makes our dreams come true, those of us who are her dedicated fans. According to definition 2 people can be close as in romantic love accepting it as a "gift from God" without all the details of romantic love itself. Platonic love is real & pure without some of the messier aspects. Or as one wit was heard to say "hands above the blankets." It exists in a spiritual realm, or is one only dreaming? It asks for little tangible. It gives of itself from a sometimes aching heart yet tries to remember what Jerry Orbach wrote in "Try to Remember," "without a hurt the heart is hollow." My heart sometimes literally aches thinking of Sissel. Relating to someone through music can be a sometime emotional affair. All one knows for sure is that many people relate to this wonderful woman. One can't say very much today. The images of Sissel are always striking & the musical background inspiring. Was out enjoying a coffee thinking of what i was going to say to you folks tonight. Spring is well afoot here & the streets are quiet. Was sitting by some stout old birch trees that were here when I first came to Victoria 70 years ago. Birch (beryozka) often remind me of Russia, they are important to Russians. Am unsettled at the way things are unwinding on the world stage but guess that topic's for another time. Amongst the images of Sissel I find her so appealing when she was a youngster. Her appeal changed as she grew up to be the beauty she is today. Hope you are all well in company with your loved ones.
