You might have noise coming from the supercharger isolator coupler. It's on the shaft from the pulley to the supercharger. Pull the pulley snout off and replace that junk factory metal/rubber spring with a solid polyurethane one from eBay for 20-25 bucks. It makes a lot of clunky sounds when it's worn. The solid one should last essentially forever. The metal spring eats into the rubber over time and allows it to clack around and make noise.

How many miles did these issues happen at?
97336cf 120k on this one. It was making all sorts of noise at about 100k timing chains were jumping all over the place
@@eastbay12v wow and he did 20k miles with those jumping chains? Lucky he didn't grenade it
@@eastbay12v Hi Ken do you have any preferences on the brand for the timing chain kit? my 5.0 sc sounds like a diesel engine.....just hit 100k . thanks and nice sticker on the tool box
@@pedrocaballero9759 hey I used Land Rover oem guides and tensioner then INA for the chains. The chains don’t really have any problems it’s just the Faulty design of the original guide rails once those are changed everything will be fine I know a lot of people who only change the tensioner and guide rail that the tensioner itself contacts.
@@eastbay12v Thank you. Ill get the parts and send it to my mechanic.....this one is a little to much for my expertise...
I subscribed to your channel just because of the sticker on your tool box. :-)

Hi Ken. Great video. I'm also working on my 2011 RR supercharged, and I've gotten the top of the supercharger off, removed the 8 center 10mm bolts from inside the supercharger, but can't get the supercharger base to budge. I tried prying with a pry bar and nothing. I even removed a couple of T30 bolts from the very back (so hard) toward the top that was part of the EGR pluming bracket. And sill, the base doesn't want to move. Any suggestions? I think maybe it's just stuck, but I've tried prying and I don't want to break anything is there's still something that needs to be untightened. Help please!!!
just stuck, we had to use a breaker bar on mine
I'm at the same point how did you get it off?
@@carlossaez9389 use a mallet and a 2x4 to hit the charger

Egt's are overrated unless we are talking about sustained temps. Like more than a min or 2. Pulling heavy loads with my duramax I don't let it get over 1350 but racing 1/4 mile I see 1,800 all the time it doesn't matter. Btw over 200,000 miles on original motor still going strong
What if I told you I hit 1800 I'm Celsius
Fun
